AbstractPast research shows that prices move in response to World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) reports immediately prior to and after a report. This research develops trading models based on knowing the next WASDE report in advance. This should help traders evaluate investments to predict information contained within the report and in determining how best to use such forecasts. The price-forecasting models use regressions against the ratios of ending stocks to use. Results show a steady increasing return to trading over the report month. The highest returns are produced by

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in advanced stages runs an unpredictable downward course with increasingly frequent, ultimately fatal exacerbations. Worldwide financial and human costs are huge. Responsibility for initiating advance care planning in COPD has usually fallen to the physicians. The tendency has been to avoid this aspect of care, which can result in inadequate, rushed, reactive, crisis decision-making in the form of a “code status” discussion. Professional athletes with recursive TBI were observed to have developed speech difficulties, memory lapses, Parkinsons’s-like syndrome with drooling, tremors, and emo

Abstract:
Constraint acquisition is the task of learning a constraint network from examples of solutions and non-solutions. Existing constraint acquisition systems typically require advance knowledge of the target network's constraint language, which significantly narrows their scope of applicability. In this paper we propose a constraint acquisition method that computes a suitable constraint language as part of the learning process, eliminating the need for any advance knowledge. We report preliminary experiments on various acquisition benchmarks.

Abstract:
Capability of high-resolution mapping of ultrafast photoconductivity in metal-semiconductor-metal micro- and nanostructures can substantially advance photonics research. We report micrometer-resolution photocurrent mapping of structures driven by femtosecond laser to characterize their response to ultrafast excitation.

Abstract:
The field of cryptography continues to advance at a very rapid pace, leading to new insights that may impact the security properties of cryptographic algorithms. The Crypto Publication Review Board ("the Board") has been established to identify publications to be reviewed. This report subjects the first standard to the review process: Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 197, which defines the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).

Abstract:
Artificial intelligence offers enormous promise to advance progress and powerful capabilities to disrupt it. This policy brief is the second installment of a series that examines how advances in AI could be exploited to enhance operations that automate disinformation campaigns. Building on the RICHDATA framework, this report describes how AI can supercharge current techniques to increase the speed, scale, and personalization of disinformation campaigns.

Abstract:
This report captures insights gleaned from a meeting convened by the United Nations University’s International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH), which took place on June 20-22. Across the three days, over two dozen delegates from 17 countries came together to envision, facilitate, and support “Enabling Environments to Advance Gender Equality in Health” through the use of a futures approach. A decolonial feminist lens informed the design and delivery of the meeting, guiding interpretations of our past, analyses of our present, and visions of our futures through an explicit interrogation o

Abstract:
In 2017, two years after introducing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in its “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development," the United Nations reported that digital technology—particularly open source—would be instrumental in achieving them. Linux Foundation Research set out to understand how the open source community has advanced the SDGs so far, conducting a comprehensive study of the LF’s diverse portfolio of projects. The study analyzed use cases as well as documented efforts of the community, its curators and contributors, and its working groups to map efforts to the different dime
