Agricultural residues are considered the most promising option as a renewable feedstock for biofuel and high valued-added chemical production due to their availability and low cost. The efficient enzymatic hydrolysis of agricultural residues into value-added products such as sugars and hydroxycinnamic acids is a challenge because of the recalcitrant properties of the native biomass. Development of synergistic enzyme cocktails is required to overcome biomass residue recalcitrance, and achieve high yields of potential value-added products. Abstract:
Sustained economic growth and development is an important economic policy objective to all economies in the world. It is even more important for countries of the CEMAC sub-region whose development index remains very low. Sustained economic growth is therefore the surest means to fight against poverty and move the economies of CEMAC member countries towards emergence. Using data from 1990 to 2020, this study examines the effect of agricultural value added on economic development within the CEMAC economies. Data was scrutinized for stationarity using the Levin Lin Chu (LLC). Furthermore, the pan

The aim of the research is to analyze the impact of the value of the production of permanent crops (fruit and viticulture sector) on the realized gross value added (GVA) in agriculture in Serbia and the EU from 2012 to 2022. The results were obtained by applying a multiple regression model where the dependent variable is the GVA in agriculture, and the independent variables represent the production values of the fruit and viticulture sector (in EUR mln). The coefficients of the model were tested using the t-test, and the model was verified using the F-test at a significance level of 0.05. The

Recently more consideration has been given to the use of renewable materials and agricultural residues. Wheat production is increasing yearly and correspondingly, the volume of by-products from the wheat process is increasing, as well. It is important to find the use of the residuals for higher value-added products, and not just for the food industry or animal feed purposes as it is happening now. Agricultural residue of the roller milled wheat grain is a wheat bran description. The low-cost of wheat bran and its composition assortment provides a good source of substrate for various enzymes an

Countries have to deal with the sustainability of food supply and demand due to factors such as rapid increase in demand for agricultural food products on a global scale and climate change. Therefore, productivity and agricultural value added products have become strategically important to ensure food security. Developed countries provide a significant amount of value added in the agricultural sector. The aim of the study was to determine primary factors affecting the agricultural value added production in Turkey and EU15 countries and to determine how Turkey differs from these countries as a

This review systematically outlines the recent advances in the application of circular bioeconomy technologies for converting agricultural wastewater to value-added resources. The properties and applications of the value-added products from agricultural wastewater are first summarized. Various types of agricultural wastewater, such as piggery wastewater and digestate from anaerobic digestion, are focused on. Next, different types of circular technologies for recovery of humic substances (e.g., humin, humic acids and fulvic acids) and nutrients (e.g., nitrogen and phosphorus) from agricultural

Countries in the world have various indices for the implementation of economic globalization (EG). This refers to positive and negative impacts arising from its implementation, especially in agriculture. This sector is still a basic source of existence in developing countries. At the same time, these countries have been unable to optimize their agricultural value-added (AVA) and only earn a low level of income. That way, developing countries need to take advantage of EG to increase income from agricultural exports and farmers’ welfare. Other than that, there has been no study examining the imp
