A simple, specific, accurate, rapid, inexpensive Reversed Phase High Performance liquid chromatographic method has been developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of Amlodipine and Hydrochlorothiazide in pharmaceutical tablet dosage form. Separation was achieved using a C18 column with mobile phase consisting of Phosphate Buffer (pH 3.4) and Methanol (55:45 v/v) in isocratic mode at 1 ml/min flow rate. Column effluent was monitored at 238 nm using a UV detector. The retention time for Amlodipine and Hydrochlorothiazide was found to be 2.7 and 3.4 min respectively the method was

Fimasartan, amlodipine, and hydrochlorothiazide are commonly used in combination therapies as antihypertensive drugs. This study aimed to develop and validate an analytical method for fimasartan, its active and major metabolite fimasartan-amide, amlodipine, and hydrochlorothiazide in rat plasma using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). The standard calibration curves for fimasartan (1–500 ng/mL), its active and major metabolite fimasartan-amide (0.3–100 ng/mL), amlodipine (0.5–200 ng/mL), and hydrochlorothiazide (5–5000 ng/mL) were linear with R2 > 0.9964, and the int

Introduction: A combination of three active ingredients amlodipine besylate, telmisartan, and hydrochlorothiazide has been used and proven effective in the treatment of hypertension in patients with moderate to severe hypertension, while it contributes to a reduction in product costs and increases patient compliance. However, there are no monographs in pharmacopoeias for the simultaneous quantification of these three active ingredients. Therefore, in order to contribute to the establishment of an in-house specification for domestic generic drugs, shorten the time of quantifying each ingredient

Hypertension (high blood pressure) is estimated to afflict 1 billion individuals worldwide and is a major risk factor for stroke, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and end-stage renal disease. The first class of drugs to treat hypertension was the mercurial diuretics, discovered by Alfred Vogl in 1919 in Vienna. Diuretics, by removing fluid from the body, reduce the pressure on the heart. Mercurial diuretics revolutionized the treatment of congestive heart failure resulting from severe edema and were the primary treatment until the late 1950s, when thiazide diuretics emerged. Context: Histoplasmosis (Histoplasma capsulatum) is a systemic disease that affects the lung and immune system1. The severity of histoplasmosis is directly related to the individual’s immune response since it is an opportunistic pathogen2. It is one of the most prevalent infections in immunocompromised patients due to the use of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) inhibitors, resulting in a mortality rate of 20%. The evolution to CNS occurs in 5-10% of patients with disseminated symptoms3. Case Report: M.G.M, a woman, 67 years, was admitted with bilateral tonicclonic seizure with focal ons
