Abstract In 1995, there were two failures in the 20.000 BPD HF Alky unit at the Amuay Refinery causing a shutdown of the unit. The failures occurred in one flange and one weld in the depropanizer charge carbon steel pipe, containing propane, isobutane and anhydrous hydrofluoric acid at 190 F (88 C) and 321 psig (22.5 Kg/cm2). The aim of this study was a qualitative comparison of ablation effects induced by different laser parameters. Three self-built laser systems were applied to the enamel of extracted human teeth: a microsecond Ho:YAG laser at a wavelength of 2.12 μm, a microsecond Er:YAG laser at 2.94 μm, and a picosecond Nd:YLF laser system at 1.053 μm. After laser irradiation, the teeth were critical point dried, coated with a gold layer of about 30 nm, and examined by a scanning electron microscope (Amray 1810).

Abstract:
The Creating Spaces project was a five-year, multi-country initiative aimed at reducing violence against women and girls and the prevalence of child, early and forced marriage in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan and the Philippines. This evaluation focuses on tackling social norm change in the Muslim Mindanao region of the Philippines, working closely with the organizations AMWA, UnyPhil, PBSP and PLCPD.
