Abstract:
The aim of the study was to develop a new experimental model of heterotopic autotransplantation of the spleen by implanting splenic fragments into subcutaneous fat. Research Material: Experimental studies were conducted on 8 white mongrel rats weighing 300-400 grams at the age of 3 to 4 months. Research Results: Splenectomy is accompanied by significant violations of hemostasis and the immune system of the body, which justifies the feasibility of performing heterotopic autotransplantation of the spleen (GATS). In cases of infection or necrosis of the implant when performing traditional GATS me

Experimental rat models are widely used in cancer research. This is facilitated by the diversity of existing inbred animal lines and their relatively low cost. The purpose of this review was to analyze and systematize the publications 2000-2024 selected in PubMed and in national author databases on various cancer rat models. The advantages, disadvantages, and prospects of using these models in the study of different aspects of cancer pathology are discussed. The information will help researchers choos an adequate experimental rat model to study the mechanisms of cancer development and the pos

Experimental device was created to model stable atmosphere. The device consists of the glass vessel filled with air. Volume of the vessel is 30 litres. The ammonia concentration is similar to stable air. Amount of ozone in 2.4 mg was added and subsequently weight loss of ammonia was measured. Measurements were performed at different temperatures (20°C, 45°C) and different air humidity. The observed ratio of reacting ozone and ammonia is 5.2:1. It was also found, that this ratio is practically independent of temperature and relative humidity that occur in a stable environment. T

The bioengineering research is essential in the development of ideal combination of biomaterials and cultured cells to produce the permanent wound coverage. The experimental model of cultured keratinocytes presents all steps of the culture, since the isolation of the keratinocytes, preparation of the human acellular dermis, preparation of the composite skin graft and their elevation to the air-liquid interface. The research in cultured keratinocytes model advances in two main ways: 1. optimization of the methods in vitro to the skin cells culture and proliferation and 2. developing biomaterial
