Abstract We have investigated crossed Andreev reflection in a ferromagnet-superconductor-ferromagnet junction based on the time-reversal invariant Weyl semimetals. We demonstrate that this junction can provide a suitable platform for generating pure crossed Andreev reflection signals. Mechanically point contacts (pc) made of Ta, Al, Ag (anvil) and of Ta, Ag (needle) were investigated in the temperature range between 4.2 and 1.3 K and in magnetic fields up to 0.8 T. The measured dynamic conductance dI/dV(V) and the current–voltage characteristics of all N–S and S–S point contacts suggest a normal-conducting–superconducting microconstriction contact, including a barrier of arbitrary strength at the interface. The article introduces the Persian document included into the album of autographs, acquired by the Library from its owner and collector A. N. Andreev in 1859. In the album the document is described as “a letter from Shah Sulayman, son of Shah ‘Abbas II”. The text and translation of the document are provided and the reliability of attribution is discussed. We report the first tunneling experiments performed by means of point-contact technique on the ruthenate-cuprate RuSr 2 GdCu 2 O 8 (Ru1212) compound.
