Abstract: Crows are rare in the Cuban fossil record. To date, there have been two reports of the Cuban crow Corvus nasicus, one from late Quaternary deposits of the San Felipe tar pits in northeastern Matanzas Province, and the other from Cuevas Blancas cave deposits in Havana Province. Here I report two additional Corvus cf. nasicus specimens from a late Quaternary cave deposit in northern Matanzas Province. This record supports a more western distribution in Matanzas during the Quaternary. Keywords: cave deposits, Corvus nasicus, Cuba, fossil, Quaternary, West Indies Resumen: Restos fósiles

A new neotropical genus and species of soft scale insect from Cuba, Hamonicoccus Mestre and Kondo gen. nov. is described and Hamonicoccus alayoi Mestre and Kondo sp. nov. (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Coccidae) is described and illustrated based on the adult female. The species was collected in Cayos de las Cinco Leguas, Matanzas Province, on Capparis cynophallophora (Capparaceae), and in Surgidero de Batabanó, Mayabeque Province, on Rhizophora mangle (Rhizophoraceae). The affinities of H alayoi sp. nov. with closely related species is discussed based on published literature. An updated list of sof

This article set out to analyze gender representations in members of the First Baptist Church and the Baptist Fraternity Church of the city of Matanzas. During the research process, from a qualitative perspective, observation, survey, content analysis of sermons, and semi-structured interviews with teologians and pastors were used as techniques. Despite being a religious médium sensitive to the perspective of inclusion and that denominationally responds to postulates of Liberation Theology, the predominant gender representations were attached to binary and cisheteropatriarchal.

Abstract:
Agrobiodiversity is the guarantee that localities have to achieve food sovereignty. Knowing its presence by locality in correspondence with its utilitarian values, allows determining the degree of approach to food sovereignty, nutritional education and ecological balance. However, to achieve this, it is first necessary to know in the agroecosystems the availability of food species established in the agroecosystems and the associated free species of known or unknown utility. This participatory research was carried out that consisted of the registration and evaluation of the functional diversity

Abstract:
The Havana–Matanzas Ophiolite contains one of the few examples of ophiolitic platinum group minerals (PGM)-rich chromitites associated with orthopyroxenites in the mantle section of ophiolitic complexes. The chromitites occur as veins hosted by orthopyroxenite bands within mantle peridotites. The peridotites are mostly harzburgites and their accessory chromite shows high-Al compositions (Cr# [Cr/(Cr+Al), atomic ratio] = 0.39–0.50), which are typical of spinels in abyssal peridotites. Conversely, chromite from the chromitite veins and their host orthopyroxenite are high-Cr (Cr# = 0.72–0.73 and
