The article is an analysis of the images of magic-wielding characters in Russian magic fairy tales. The basis of this analysis is a set of fairy tales collected by Alexander Afanasyev. The author focuses primarily on the characters of Baba Yaga and Koschei the Immortal, pointing in particular to the ambiguity of the former. Growth hormone regulates reproduction and growth in mammals. A study was conducted to obtain the characteristics of the GH gene, in local pigs in North Sulawesi. Pig samples were obtained from traditional farmers, from four districts in North Sulawesi. DNA extraction and purification, using pig pituitary tissue. Amplification of GH gene, performed by PCR method. Visualization of CO1 gene amplikon, performed by electrophoresis technique. The paper examines the transformation of “Jaka Tarub”, a folktale contained in Babad Tanah Jawi, into the play Jaka Tarub by Akhudiat. Jaka Tarub by Akhudiat is a two-act play that is parodic in style. The play won the 1974 Jakarta Arts Council Playwriting Competition. The aim of the paper is to study how the tale is interpreted and reconstructed into Indonesian contemporary literature. The transformation of the tale is analyzed from a new historicist perspective.
