Abstract:
Measurement of respiratory quotient (RQ) is useful as an indicator of changes in CO2 equilibrium or metabolism. Because of technical difficulties when volumetric or mixed expired methods are applied to clinical practice, we sought to validate a method of volumeless breath-by-breath RQ measurement based on real-time analysis of inspired and alveolar concentrations of O2, CO2, and N2 alone. We derived our volumeless method from a modified three-compartment lung model and tested the validity of the model by comparing it with a standard volumetric open-circuit method. It has since evolved from 6 to 18–22 passenger vehicles, a large number of which are plying Metro Manila routes. Currently, most jeepneys are fabricated in backyard shops using imported second-hand diesel powertrain components fitted on locally made chassis and body. Since the basic design is unchanged except for its length, the jeepney provides an uncomfortable ride, with high levels of diesel emissions, and insufficient safety features.

Abstract:
Objective: We analyzed the accessibility of a virtual program developed for women with advanced cancer undergoing chemotherapy treatment by the Unified Health System. We ranked the benefits of participating in the program according to the patient’s experience. Methodology: A longitudinal study of quantitative and qualitative was carried out with 78 women diagnosed with locally advanced and/or metastatic breast and gynecological cancer. Abstract:
This rapid evidence review collates shared learning and good practices around peer knowledge exchange platforms, with a focus on South-South peer-to-peer learning. However, given the breadth of peer learning activities, the importance of context and the lack of standardisation in terms and guidance, there are difficulties in directly comparing knowledge exchange platforms and producing proscribed ‘best practices’. Although there is a large literature base on knowledge exchange and South-Sotuh cooperation more generally, there were limitations in the literature capturing practical lessons from

Abstract:
The discovery of proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTACs) is among the most exciting and promising avenues in cancer therapy. These fascinating compounds signify a paradigm shift from traditional approaches to medication development, offering a new idea that leverages the complexities of biological mechanisms to accomplish highly focused degradation of particular proteins implicated in pathological processes. This novel strategy has the potential to address a number of drawbacks with conventional therapy techniques, such as the development of drug resistance and unexpected adverse effects resu
