Abstract:
The effect of morphological changes in the gastric mucosa on the motor-evacuation function of the stomach was evaluated in 90 patients with chronic atrophic gastritis and 93 patients with chronic non-atrophic gastritis aged 18 to 82 years. Motor function disturbances were discovered of 90% of patients with chronic atrophic gastritis and 80,6% with chronic non-atrophic gastritis. It was established that the pyloric insufficiency compared with its spasm was significantly more (p0,01) often in chronic atrophic gastritis. Gastritis, also known as inflammation of the gastric mucosa, is a prevalent disorder of the digestive system that can be attributed to a range of reasons. Based on the level of illness severity, gastritis can be categorized into two distinct types: acute gastritis and chronic gastritis. Based on the observed pathological alterations, acute gastritis can be categorized into several subtypes, namely simple gastritis, erosive and hemorrhagic gastritis, corrosive gastritis, and suppurative gastritis. Based on the observed pathological alterations, chronic gastritis can be categorized into three di

The article discusses the issues of classification, etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of gastritis, including chronic gastritis (CG). Currently, CG is defined as a long-term and usually non-self-limiting inflammation of the gastric mucosa (GM). The disease commonly lasts for life with the constant impact of an etiological factor. The most common etiological factor of CG is Helicobacter pylori. Gastritis caused by H. pylori can progress from non-atrophic to atrophic with further progression to gastric cancer. The authors also consider other forms of CG, including autoimmune and dr

Chronic atrophic gastritis is a serious health issue beyond the stomach health problems that affect normal life. This study aimed to explore the influencing factors related to chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) using non-invasive indicators and establish an optimal prediction model to aid in the clinical diagnosis of CAG. Electronic medical record data from 20,615 patients with CAG were analyzed, including routine blood tests, liver function tests, and coagulation tests. The logistic regression algorithm revealed that age, hematocrit, and platelet distribution width were significant influences s

Methods The expression of Beclin-1 and Bcl-2 in 78 cases of gastric cancer, 30 cases of atypical hyperplasia and 20 cases of chronic non-atrophic gastritis was examined by immunohistochemical staining. Results The positive rate of Beclin-1 in gastric cancer was significantly lower than those in atypical hyperplasia and chronic non-atrophic gastritis(χ2=9.298,7.437, P<0.05), while there was no significant difference between atypical hyperplasia and chronic non-atrophic

Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is one of the most common infections worldwide. According to modern ideas, it is the main cause of a number of diseases of the stomach and duodenum (peptic ulcer, chronic gastritis, MALT lymphoma) and the leading risk factor for stomach cancer. In the hospital therapy clinic of the Kirov Military Medical Academy, we observed 118 patients. The study groups included patients with various types of chronic gastritis (atrophic and non-atrophic). The patients were comparable in gender and age. Infection H. pylori was verified in 22 patients (68.8%) suffering from chro
