She taught theology for some years at the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California, while I was teaching biblical studies at San Francisco Theological Seminary, and later we shared 10 retirement years at Pilgrim Place in Claremont. Rather than speaking in general about her impact on me and on feminist theology in our generation, I want to share three stories of my experiences of her to show you something of her character, priorities, and accomplishments.

Library assessment at the BU School of Theology Library identified one glaring weakness of our institution: the lack of useable collaborative/group study space. Staff identified one particular spot: a beautiful, but rarely used conference room for group study space, down a forbidding administrative hallway, as a short-term bandage for this weakness. It was found that Pettee Classification did not support cataloging sufficiently due to not being updated in decades. Reclassification of the collection was necessary. This paper discusses the decision-making process and how the new classification scheme for the collection was chosen. It describes the implementation of the reclassification project and reviews the outcomes.
