The positions are fixed using three randomly deployed seabed transponders that may be described as intelligent. The transponders fix their own relative positions and the position of the surface receiver, usually a vessel, by an exchange of coded acoustic pulses. A corpus-based analysis shows pendulation between a communicative DY, which introduces past quotes, and a metacommunicative DY, which functions as a comment clause. In initial position, DY resembles a matrix clause, however, its subject-verb inversion produces a backgrounding effect which renders the conjunction que (‘that’) unnecessary and favours a parenthetical analysis of DY. One of the main tools that is significant in the process of resolving various situations, as well as in the context of self-education, self-development and self-improvement of pupils, is the possession of reading literacy, which must be laid down from the first stage of education - in primary school. When organizing the reading process, it is important to bring the content of the text closer to the communicative situations that the pupil

The paper deals with the urgent problem of enabling better communication of IT-specialists in their business and interpersonal interaction using information and communication technologies, including cloud technologies. It is emphasized, that effective communication is an integral part of the successful professional work of IT-professionals, but in recent years it has undergone significant transformations, which have been expressed in new forms and means of communication, its content changes, its complications and volume increases, the need to improve its accuracy, and the level of understandin

Quantum communication was demonstrated using autonomous vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V), as well as autonomous vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I). Supporting critical subsystems including compact size, weight, and power (SWaP) quantum sources; optical systems; and pointing, acquisition, and tracking (PAT) subsystems were designed, developed, and tested. Novel quantum algorithms were created and analyzed, including quantum position verification (QPV) for mobile autonomous vehicles. The results of this research effort can be leveraged in support of future cross-platform, mobile quantum communication netwo

Abstract:
Seasonally closed trap fishery areas mitigate large whale entanglement risk. Acoustic retrieval of bottom traps without persistent vertical lines can restore fishery access. Concerns include functionality, cost and operational constraints of acoustically triggered ‘on-demand’ buoyant bottom-stowed line or an inflatable lift bags. Without surface gear attached to a vertical line from the trap(s), virtual gear marking and on-demand gear interoperability remain concerns. U.S.A. east coast lobster and west coast crab, as well as Canadian snow crab have been harvested using on-demand gear in areas

The scientific research considers and analyzes the epistolary heritage of Olena Teliha. Excerpts from her correspondence are presented, which testify to the formation of a brilliant woman, a creative personality who played an extremely important role in the struggle for the formation of Ukrainian statehood. It is from the letters that we learn that for her letters are almost an ideal way of communication. The epistolary heritage of Olena Teliha allows us to reveal the vision of the main processes in her personal life against the background of the general historical discourse. In addition, the

Abstract:
This Research Brief explores the pragmatics of implementing conflict-sensitive applied research in violence-affected contexts, an approach integrating local context and stakeholders into research strategies to minimize negative impacts and enhance positive outcomes. Emphasizing the dynamic interplay of communicative, relational, and bureaucratic factors, the study delves into how these elements can either enable or impede the effectiveness of conflict-sensitive approaches on the ground. It illustrates this with examples of communicative barriers, the gatekeeping of access to target communities

Receiving messages had an overall positive effect of 5 percent on the number of prenatal care visits attended. Moreover, for women who live close to their assigned health center and who have higher educational attainment, the intervention positively affected vitamin intake compliance, APGAR scores, and birth weight. Evidence suggests that reminders are more effective among those who are more able to understand the future benefits of p
