Constructive conflict resolution programmes are based on the idea that children and youth do no have sufficient knowledge of the procedures and skills for conflict resolution, which is why the conflicts they take part in soon become destructive. Notwithstanding the indubitable practical significance of the constructive conflict resolution programmes, it can be objected that they are not sufficiently based on empirical findings about the characteristics of conflicts in childhood and adolescence. Purpose This paper aims to explore the influence of entrepreneur’s political involvement on private-own enterprises’ (POEs’) selection of two inter-organizational conflict resolutions approaches (private approach and public approach), in the context of China’s transition economy. Design/methodology/approach Drawing on a sample of POEs operating in China’s transition economy in the year 2000, this study investigates the possible association between the entrepreneur’s political involvement and the approach chosen to resolve inter-organizational conflicts. A further step is taken to look into the

The authors discuss the survival strategies of Hungarian society during the socialist regime. One such strategy was to avoid open conflicts in the public sphere. New skills are needed to address the social changes since the end of communism in 1989-90. The article illustrates the positive potential in the open expression of public conflicts by examining cases of minority rights in Hungary.

Conflict among knowledge is commonly seen during fuzzing reasoning. By far, some effective methods have been available for eliminating the conflict among knowledge, they are referred to as conflict resolution methods or conflict resolution strategies. The methods of sorting method according to average with weight and sorting in generalizing sequential relation are new methods proposed in recent year. As verified by researches, sometimes these two methods cannot calculate accurate matching degree in fuzzy reasoning. Therefore, this article proposes a new conflict resolution strategy, i.e., sort

In this paper, we propose an efficient conflict-resolution approach based on the multi-disk architecture for the insertion/deletion operations on continuous media that are split up into blocks and placed in various locations on the disk, without reorganizing the whole data. When a new subobject is inserted after subobject i, it will be assigned with an identification number (i + 1) and be inserted into a disk in which the retrieval of the new subobject does not conflict with the retrieval of any other subobject, where a conflict means a pair of two consecutive subobjects that are stored in the
