In recent years, there has been renewed interest in the use of thiosulfate as a substitute for cyanide in silver leaching. Copper thiosulfate leaching without ammonia was applied to extract silver from silver sulfide, resulting in the production of Ag–Cu polymetallic thiosulfate complexes in solutions. It is necessary to separate Ag–Cu polymetallic thiosulfate complexes with the purposes of silver recovery and copper recycling. In this paper, the feasibility study on the use of UV-C irradiation to separate Ag–Cu polymetallic thiosulfate complexes was investigated based on the different photose

A family of silver(I) and copper(I) complexes containing carboxylate ligands were prepared from the corresponding carboxylic acids and Ag2O. The compounds were characterized by various spectroscopic methods and X-ray diffraction. In the solid state, the silver(I) salts are coordination polymers based on dinuclear silver species with bridging carboxylate ligands. The reaction of these silver salts with Ph3P gives four-coordinate, tetrahedral bis(phosphine) complexes. Analogous copper(I) bis(phosphine) compounds were prepared by the reduction of copper(II) carboxylates with Ph3P. Decomposition t

Abstract:
The overall goal of this project was to elucidate the role of dissolved organic matter (DOM) in soil retention, bioavailability and plant uptake of silver and cerium oxide NPs. The environmental risks of manufactured nanoparticles (NPs) are attracting increasing attention from both industrial and scientific communities. These NPs have shown to be taken-up, translocated and bio- accumulated in plant edible parts. However, very little is known about the behavior of NPs in soil-plant system as affected by dissolved organic matter (DOM). Thus DOM effect on NPs behavior is critical to assessing the

Abstract:
In this research, a series of copper complexes containing polypyridyl ligands were designed to study the influence from ligands, nuclearity, solvents and secondary coordination on reactivity toward small-molecule activation. This structure-reactivity relationship was used in investigation for oxygen reduction reactions (ORR), and applied in detection of ascorbic acid (AsH₂). Firstly, copper (II) complexes containing polypyridyl derivatives ligands (i.e., Cu(dpa), Cu(adpa) and Cu₂ (addpa)) were synthesized and fully characterized by elemental analysis, mass spectrometry and X-ray crystallograph

Abstract:
Based on the geological and petrographical studies and chemical analysis of drill-core and outcrop samples, the geology and mineralization at the Phu Lon area are revealed. The Phu Lon prospect is a Cu-Fe-Au-Ag skarn deposit of porphyry-related type. The copper- and iron-rich zones are hosted predominantly in the garnet-pyroxene skarn that is developed metasomatically at the contact between the diorite-monzodiorite intrusions and a marble with minor calcsilicate unit. The main stage of iron mineralization probably took place during the prograde garnet-pyroxene skarn formation and was genetical
