MANE (MCNP ACE from NJOY & ENDF), a code for generating continuous energy cross sections at arbitrary temperatures, was created. Cross sections were evaluated using NJOY99 such that they would agree with the cross sections provided by MCNP5. The MANE cross sections were found to be in very good agreement with those provided by MCNP5 with some minor exceptions caused by round-off errors and some differences in the unresolved resonance region. The Corex process is a more environmental-friendly method of pig iron production than the blast-furnace process. Additionally, this technology is accompanied by production of a fuel gas with a LHV twice as high as blast-furnace gas. Abstract:
The state-of-the-art related to many-core processors focuses on Networks-on-Chip (NoCs) as approach to provide on-chip message-passing communication. The main problem is the number of hops from source to destination increasing the latency to exchange data based on network packets. Our goal is to propose a greedy heuristic for process mapping on NoCs clustering processes that have more communication on nearest cores. The evaluation method is based on simulation of parallel workloads on a NoC. The greedy heuristic achieves a higher throughput (up to 23.04%) and lower energy consumption (up to 9.

This short note describes one way of taking advantage of the multiple cores on most desktop computers. It describes running one of the processes in the GTAP build procedure called ’FIT’. The input to ’FIT’ is a balanced input-output table (IOT), which is adjusted to a number of exogenous elements including aggregate domestic absorption and import and export vectors. It is run for each of the countries/regions in the build, but there is no interaction across countries/regions and thus can be run in parallel. The objective of this effort was to demonstrate in the field the new wettability altering technology developed in the laboratory during Phase 1. Reservoir cores from three gas storage facilities including sandstone and dolomite reservoirs were used to evaluate the two surfactants. The imbibition and core flood tests showed that gas deliverability was improved in surfactant-treated sandstone cores.
