A methodology for the simulation of CPV systems is presented in four distinct sections: input, optics, uncertainty and electrical output. In the input section, existing methods of describing the solar irradiation that is incident at the primary optical element of a CPV system are discussed, the inadequacies of the existing methods are explored and conditions of validity for their use drawn. Hybrid CPV-T with combined electrical and thermal output is well suited to solar generation from fixed limited areas, such as on the roof of an industrial or commercial facility with need for heat. This application will become especially attractive once overall electrical conversion efficiency of 40% is reached, as is projected for REhnu CPV systems using multijunction cells of 50% efficiency, anticipated in a few years. VCP belongs to regulation of complement activation (RCA) protein superfamily. It has been shown to inhibit both the alternative and classical pathways of complement activation by binding to the proteins C3 and C4, thereby preventing complementmediated opsonisation of virus, antibody-mediated lysis of infected cells and migration of inflammatory cells into the site of infection.

A REhnu CPV module uses a 2.6 m(2), back-silvered glass reflector to focus sunlight into a 150 mm diameter receiver housing 36 multijunction cells.
