Abstract:
We review from a different perspective the approach and solution to the torque-free Euler equations, also called the free asymmetric top equations. We aim to simplify and broaden the study of the asymmetric free rigid body. This is an old but important integrable problem that has two first integrals: the energy and the angular momentum. We reduce this problem by eliminating the time as the independent variable in the three autonomous Euler equations written in cylindrical dimensionless variables, which allows a geometric study of the solution as a function of the cylindrical angle variable ψ,

SummaryThe structure and development of epidermal hairs of five cucurbitaceous fruits are described. The epidermal hairs are glandular and eglandular. Glandular hair consists of 1–2‐celled foot and a body differentiated into a multicellular stalk and a clavate head. Eglandular hair is cylindrical or filiform and has 1–2‐celled foot and uniseriate multicellular body. The branched glandular hair of Luffa cylindrica is first time reported in the cucurbitaceous fruits.

Abstract:
Two new Comesomatidae species from the Gulfs of San José and San Matías, Chubut province of Argentina are described. Sabatieria flecha sp. n. is characterized by the particular shape of the dorsal distal end of the spicule, smaller spicule length (47 μm; 1.5 anal body diameter), number of weakly cuticularised supplements (12), size of amphids with two and a half turns, short body length (1260 μm), values of a (36) and b (7,8) and tail shape with 1/3 cylindrical part. Sabatieria sanjosensis sp. n. is characterized by a long body length (3000 μm), large value for a (82) and tail shape with 1/2 c

Experimental studies of the non-stationary heat exchange in the system «environment I – body II» have been carried out. It is established that in the body II, which consists of the fluid and thin-walled metal envelope, the characteristic features of the regular thermal mode occur, i.e., cooling (heating) rate of the body II- m = const; heat transfer coefficient between the water (environment I) and body II is practically stable α1 = const; uneven temperatures distribution coefficient in the body II ψ = const. This new notion of the heat transfer regularities in the body II is planned to apply

Abstract:
The intent of study is to establish a criterion for the experimental setup of rasterstereography, one that is more efficient, simple, accurate and precise to examine and analyse the curvature of the object or the subject. Firstly, the setup is needed to be calibrated and for this purpose we considered a reference plane, eleven cylinders of different diameter ranging from 30-119mm were used for calibration of curvature maps of cylinders and cylindrical objects through the regression line. Further this model was tested on subjects and for that we reckoned cylindrical body parts of boys and a tot

The paper deals with the issues arising during the technological unit operation, in particular, the geometric characteristics control of large parts of the units. The main types of rolling the surface wear of cylindrical elements of various technological equipment are given (according to GOST 24642-81, GOST 18322-2016). The equipment wear patterns due to the operating conditions and the unit design, as well as differences in the part shape distortion with the roundness loss are highlighted. It is revealed that the uneven wear of the rolling surface of the technological cylindrical parts causes

In the article we will consider cylindrical shells, their definition and properties of cylindrical shells, as well as examples of their application. We will also consider methods for calculating cylindrical shells. A cylindrical shell is a geometric body formed by turning a rectangle around one of its sides. The result is a cylinder whose bases are two parallel and equal rectangles, and the side surface is a surface formed by rotating the rectangle around one of its sides. Cylindrical shells have two main elements – the base and the side surface. The bases of the cylindrical shell are parallel

On the basis of an analytical solution of the problem describing the drying process of a cylindrical body with a combined heat supply (continuous convective and intermittent infrared), the influence of the temperature mode of heating the body on the drying time and the consumption of electrical energy consumed by an infrared emitter is analyzed. The dynamics of intermittent infrared heating of a cylindrical body was modeled on the basis of an analytical solution of the problem, which takes into account the irregularity of irradiation using a unit Heaviside function and the absorption of electr
