This dissertation adresses financialization – the increasing role of financial activities in the overall economy – in Sweden in 1900-2013. The focus is on the long run relationships between private debt, asset markets, inequality and financial crisis during this period. In line with established scholarship, the present study finds that changes in bank debt had a positive impact on the probability of financial crisis in Sweden. This research investigates which theory -- an optimal, irrelevance, or modified pecking order -- best explains a firm's capital structure. A sample of 457 debt and equity utility offerings made from 1973-1982 is used in logit regression analysis to test the predictions of the different theories and the relevance of flotation costs to the financing decision. <p>During and after World War II Sweden was spying in the occupied Baltic countries which had been occupied, from 1943 by Nazi Germany and from 1944 by the Soviet Union. It began in 1943, with the Germans still occupying the Baltic countries, when Sweden and its intelligence service “C-byrån” recruited volunteers among the Baltic refugees in Sweden and sent them back to the countries they had fled from. Denna uppsats har som syfte att från två perspektiv identifiera skillnader mellan Sveriges fyra största rikstäckande dagstidningar. Synkront jämförs morgontidningar med kvällstidningar och diakront jämförs 2017 med 1997. Materialet består av respektive tidnings första två eller tre sidormed inrikesnyheter från ett datum per undersökt år. Primärt har läsbarhet och textuell struktur i huvudartikeln från varje tidning undersökts, samt disponering av ytan på alla de valda sidorna uppmätts.
