Abstract Objectives: To retrospectively compare and contrast the clinical presentation, diagnostic findings and survival in Boxer dogs with cardiomyopathy, with or without left ventricular (LV) systolic failure. Animals, materials and methods: Medical records of Boxers referred between 1993 and 2008 in which a diagnosis of ventricular arrhythmias and/or cardiomyopathy was made, were reviewed. Events in utero have been linked with diseases throughout life, however there is a lack of consensus regarding the ability of neonatal tests to predict these outcomes. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses were performed, assessing umbilical cord pH and base excess at birth, standards of low birth weight, and the Apgar score, including a total of 218 papers and 26704980 individuals. The prognostic association and predictive accuracy of these tests for adverse outcomes, including neonatal mortality and morbidity, childhood morbidity including cerebral palsy, and adult outcomes, were determined.

This thesis addresses the three principal questions concerning the development of CT urography for investigating haematuria and each question is the subject of a separate chapter. The questions are: What is the reasoning behind using CT urography? What is the optimum diagnostic strategy using CT urography? What are the problems with using CT urography and how may solutions be provided? Haematuria can signify serious disease such as urinary tract stones, renal cell cancer, upper tract urothelial cancer (UTUC) and bladder cancer (BCa). Abstract:
We describe a case report of ovarian torsion in a Korean-speaking woman with a 24-week twin pregnancy who attended a Spanish- and English-speaking institution. Ovarian torsion represents a diagnostic challenge for clinicians and radiologists because of its lack of pathognomonic symptoms and imaging findings. Ultrasonography may show unilateral ovarian enlargement without color Doppler flow and free fluid; however, clinical data should be mandatory for management decisions.
