Abstract:
Purpose of the study. Show the actual existence of materialist dialectics as a general and universal objective law and as an independent science of thinking, which must be taken into account in criminal proceedings. Dialectics (dialectical logic) is opposed to formal logic, and dialectics cannot be subordinated to formal logic, considering it only as a fragment, a section of formal logic, and on this basis deny the very existence of dialectics. After all, formal logic and dialectics (dialectical logic) are two parts of a single whole. The relationship between them is dialectical. Dialectics requires a systematic approach and does not allow the erasure of differences between such systemic opposites as “goal and means”, “form and content”, “personality and objective truth”. Meanwhile, in the current adversarial Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, the differences between these opposites are essentially erased, their systemic dialectical unity is destroyed. The article contrasts the formal-logical (tautological) prohibiting contradictions approach and the dialectical (based on dialectical contradictions) approach in relation to the criminal process. Conclusions. As a result of the study, the author comes to the conclusion that the carrier of the formal-logical approach, in the author’s opinion, is the current adversarial Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, in which the differences between such dialectical opposites as goal and means, form and content are actually erased, since the dominant one in this in the process, competitiveness (competition of the parties), i.e., the means, due to its self-sufficiency, (since everything is decided by the duel of the parties) excludes objective truth as the goal of the process. This destroys the systematic, truly scientific approach, which does not allow the erasure of differences between opposites. In adversarial criminal proceedings, the adversarial form is more important than the actual content. Formal legal truth in it is higher than objective truth. In fact, in the adversarial Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation there has been a “substitution of the concept” - not a complete, reliable, objectively true disclosure of crimes (the fight against crime), but the resolution of a legal dispute (conflict) of the parties of prosecution and defense (the state and the individual) who have equal rights before the court in favor of strong side. Individual rights in such a process are not absolute, but only relative value, since everything depends on the strength of the parties, and whoever is stronger is right. That is, in reality, the guilty person can win the process (case) and remain unpunished, but in reality, the innocent person can lose. In an adversarial process, everything is relative. What is necessary is an objectively true difference between the guilty and the innocent, and not an adversarial (win-lose) one. Hence, the objectively true model of the criminal process is a higher type of legal proceedings than the adversarial process. It is impossible to destroy the systemic dialectical unity of purpose and means, form and content, objective truth and personality in criminal proceedings. Dialectics as a universal pattern should be reflected in the criminal process. This is the guarantee of scientific, objectivity and true fairness of the criminal process, in contrast to the justice of the strongest in adversarial criminal proceedings (Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation). The article criticizes the theoretical position aimed at idealization, absolutization of formal logic, which does not allow contradiction, when dialectics (dialectical logic, dialectical contradiction) is considered only as a section, a fragment of formal logic. Thus, the very existence of dialectics, both as an objective law and as an independent science of thinking, is actually denied. This is something we cannot agree with. In their own way, both formal logic and dialectics (dialectical logic) are scientifically necessary. As dialectical opposites, these logics are two parts of a single whole: one is static, the other is dynamic. These logics are interconnected dialectically.

Abstract:
Despite Nietzsche’s frequent disavowals of Hegelianism, scholars have repeatedly stressed Nietzsche’s affinities with Hegelian dialectics. Other scholars have responded by denying such affinities. Taking On the Genealogy of Morality as a case study and comparing it to the paradigmatically Hegelian A Contribution to the Critique of Hegel’s Philosophy of Right by Marx, this article argues that the question of whether or not Nietzsche is a dialectician unduly narrows the scope that Nietzsche envisioned for philosophy. For Nietzsche, a certain mode of philosophizing (dialectical or otherwise) becomes activated within a rhetorical matrix. Marx sees dialectics as the inexorable logic of history, but has to rely on the rhetorical persuasiveness of the chiasmus to make his claim plausible. Nietzsche, on the other hand, conceives of two incompatible logics: the nobles’ positive affirmation (non-dialectical) and the priests’ negative oppositionality (enabling dialectics). Instead of arguing for one logic over another, Nietzsche foregrounds their rhetoricity by performing the historically contingent invigoration and desiccation of each, leaving it to the reader to assimilate whichever mode of philosophizing they find most plausible.

Abstract:
This article examines the understanding of academician J.M. Abdildin's dialectical-logical principles and methodology of theoretical knowledge in dialectical logic. In the history of Kazakh philosophy, J.M. Abdildin for the first time deeply investigated the principles of dialectical logic, the methodology of theoretical knowledge, revealed the internal contradictions and definitions of the concept of essence, the key to uncovering the understanding of the subject of dialectical logic is the unity of dialectics, logic and the theory of knowledge. The problem of the contradiction of thinking, concepts in dialectical logic is closely connected with the problem of objectivity of cognition of reality, its spiritual - theoretical comprehension. J.M.Abdildin emphasizes the most important moment of any theory - the choice of the subject area, the identification of the beginning of thinking, the substantiation of the universal principle, the identification of the dialectical connection of the essence, the unity of the individual, the particular and the universal.

Abstract:
Errol Harris talks about a crypto-dialectic method that lies behind the geometrical disguise of Spinoza'sEthics.Spinoza's method, he argues, is not the linear formal deduction of traditional logic but a crypto-dialectical development of the structural implications of a systematic whole. Substance differentiates itself into infinite attributes and infinite modes. Each attribute is self-differentiated into a hierarchy of modes ranging from the most complex to the simplest. Harris calls this a dialectical scale or a crypto-dialectical development of the structural implications of a systematic whole. The self-specification of the whole into attributes and modes provides the framework for a dialectical system. Spinoza's hypotheses (propositions) are implications dialectically derived from his concept of substance, a concept of a whole which differentiates itself into infinite attributes and modes. Substance is not a hypothesis but is a postulate which s i absolutely certain. Everything follows from substance with dialectical necessity. Substance is the origin of all things and ideas.

Abstract:
Dialectical logic was founded by German famous philosopher F. Hegel, but it has not been laid on mathematics for a long time. In this paper author explains the dialectical logic pure mathematically, and shows that the classic formal logic, its mathematical expression is Boolean algebra(includes multiple value system), is a special case from dialectical logic, and the true-valued function for dialectical logic is a continuous function valued on closed interval  and defined on time-space axes system. The Aristotle three laws of formal logic are expanded into expression of dialectical logic, and Russell paradox is expanded into the case of multiple order. Some new theorems for Boolean operators and the matrix expression for De Morgan’s theorem of multiple variables dialectical logic are given. At the end of the paper, linear or nonlinear dialectical logic are defined and analysis properties of dialectical logic true-valued function are pointed.

Abstract: The logic manuals of Peter Ramus (Pierre de la Ramée, 1515-72) enjoyed a wridespread pedagogical sueeess in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, especially in Protestant England. Historians of dialectical studies have judged these manuals, and Ramist dialectic more generally, as purveying a vitiated form of Aristotelian logic because the manuals cite examples frem poetry to illustrate logical principles and axioms. The semantics of Ramist method, however, blurs the neat line between literal and figurative language. A semiotie analysis of Ramist dialectic suggests that the oppesitien between logical discourse and poetic discourse is net stable and that Ramist logie is fundamentally representative or “poetic.”

Abstract:
The dialectical tradition that derives from Hegel and Marx has been very influential within social science, flowing into human geography from the early 1970s through the work of Lefebvre and Harvey. In their different ways these two scholars sought to extend dialectical logic to encompass the contingencies of space, and it is in this context that their seminal contributions to scale analysis can be understood. Since the 1980s, however, confidence in the dialectical tradition has been undermined by poststructural philosophers such as Derrida—who (whilst being careful to avoid simply negating Hegelian dialectics) has exposed the nontotalisable structure of contingency that both subtends and subverts dialectical reason. In this paper I draw upon Derrida's treatment of contingency, and explore the nondialectical ‘foundations’ of dialectical logic through a reading of Neil Smith's 1984 book on Uneven Development (Blackwell, Oxford), a classic text from Marxist geography which was the first to articulate a fully theorised scale framework.

Abstract:
At the new turn of historical development, it is necessary to turn to the understanding of dialectics and the newest forms of metaphysics, recognizing the objective dialectic of the material world, which is reflected in the subjective dialectic of concepts. For Aristotle's formal logic, there are true judgments and false judgments, and if we take the law of the excluded third, then even stricter: either yes or no. However, the metaphysical way of understanding reaches a limit beyond which it becomes limited and entangled in contradictions, since it deals with objects as unchangeable. Sophistry was revived recently in the third millennium, because capitalism needs it in the context of the digital transformation of the state and the current controversy over the new world War reveals a lot of techniques of sophistic thinking. Formal logic works fine in the conditions of everyday practical relations of people however, knowledge of dialectical logic is required to solve the global problems of our time.

Moss, Sean. "The dialectica models of type theory." Thesis, University of Cambridge, 2018. https://www.repository.cam.ac.uk/handle/1810/280672.

Abstract:
This thesis studies some constructions for building new models of Martin-Löf type theory out of old. We refer to the main techniques as gluing and idempotent splitting. For each we give general conditions under which type constructors exist in the resulting model. These techniques are used to construct some examples of Dialectica models of type theory. The name is chosen by analogy with de Paiva's Dialectica categories, which semantically embody Gödel's Dialectica functional interpretation and its variants. This continues a programme initiated by von Glehn with the construction of the polynomial model of type theory. We complete the analogy between this model and Gödel's original Dialectica by using our techniques to construct a two-level version of this model, equipping the original objects with an extra layer of predicates. In order to do this we have to carefully build up the theory of finite sum types in a display map category. We construct two other notable models. The first is a model analogous to the Diller-Nahm variant, which requires a detailed study of biproducts in categories of algebras. To make clear the generalization from the categories studied by de Paiva, we illustrate the construction of the Diller-Nahm category in terms of gluing an indexed system of types together with a system of predicates. Following this we develop the general techniques needed for the type-theoretic case. The second notable model is analogous to the Dialectica category associated to the error monad as studied by Biering. This model has only weak dependent products. In order to get a model with full dependent products we use the idempotent splitting construction, which generalizes the Karoubi envelope of a category. Making sense of the Karoubi envelope in the type-theoretic case requires us to face up to issues of coherence in our models. We choose the route of making sure all of the constructions we use preserve strict coherence, rather than applying a general coherence theorem to produce a strict model afterwards. Our chosen method preserves more detailed information in the final model.

Pradic, Pierre. "Some proof-theoretical approaches to Monadic Second-Order logic." Thesis, Lyon, 2020. http://www.theses.fr/2020LYSEN028.

Abstract:
This thesis studies certain aspects of Monadic Second-Order logic over infinitewords (MSO) through the lens of proof-theory. It is split into two independentparts. The first parts studies intuitionistic variants of MSO with strong witnessing properties allowing the extraction of synchronous functions from formal proof derivations.A constructive system with a suitable witnessing property is defined and proven correct and complete with respect to Church’s synthesis. To this end, the usual correspondence between MSO formulas and automata is refined to give a semantics of the constructive subsystem where proofs are correspond to simulations between non-deterministic automata. This notion is extended toalternating automata. This leads to a finer-grained system based on linear logicand MSO, which is then approached similarly. A stronger completeness theoremis shown for this latter system; the proof requires the determination of ω-regular games and an interpretation of linear formulas reminiscent of Gödel’sDialectica. The second part of this thesis is concerned with the axiomatic strength of the decidability theorem for MSO over infinite words and related results on infinite word automata. We proveamong other things an equivalence between the decidability of MSO, the additive version ofRamsey’s theorem for pairs and the principle of Σ⁰₂-induction over the weak artithmetical theoryRCA₀. We conclude this part by collecting a few results concerning the decidability of MSO overrationals, showing that axioms beyond Σ⁰₂-induction are necessary in that case

Abstract:

Abstract:
AbstractDialectics is a philosophical method developed by Hegel (1770–1831), but building on an intellectual tradition whose origins can be traced back to ancient Greece. Dialectics was initially practiced as an educational technique for conducting philosophical discussions. For Hegel, however, dialectical processes can be discerned in the dramatic unfolding of nature, history and human thinking as such. The first dialectical thinker, in the genuine sense of the term, according to Hegel (1971), was Heraclitus (535 – c. 475 BC), in whose “obscure” aphorisms Hegel recognises the awareness that dialectics is more than merely a technique to foster critical reflection. Heraclitus already refers to a basic logic guiding the dynamics of nature as such, to a λόγος at work in actual processes of becoming and change, giving rise to contrasting and contradictory developments (“objective dialectics”, as Hegel phrases it). For dialectical thinkers, the dialectical method is fundamentally in tune with nature, because nature as such is inherently dialectical. Hegel considered Aristotle as ancient philosophy’s most thoroughly dialectical thinker, as we have seen, while Hegel himself is regarded as a modern Aristotle (Beiser, 2005, p. 57; Pippin, 2019, p. 301).

Abstract:
Abstract dialectical frameworks (in short, ADFs) are one of the most general and unifying approaches to formal argumentation. As the semantics of ADFs are based on three-valued interpretations, we ask which monotonic three-valued logic allows to capture the main semantic concepts underlying ADFs. We show that possibilistic logic is the unique logic that can faithfully encode all other semantical concepts for ADFs. Based on this result, we also characterise strong equivalence and introduce possibilistic ADFs.

Abstract:
Abstract dialectical frameworks (ADFs) are one of the most powerful generalizations of classical Dung-style argumentation frameworks (AFs). The additional expressive power comes with an increase in computational complexity, namely one level up in the polynomial hierarchy in comparison to their AF counterparts. However, there is one important subclass, so-called bipolar ADFs (BADFs) which are as complex as classical AFs while offering strictly more modeling capacities. This property makes BADFs very attractive from a knowledge representation point of view and is the main reason why this class has received much attention recently. The semantics of ADFs rely on the Gamma-operator which takes as an input a three-valued interpretation and returns a new one. However, in order to obtain the output the original definition requires to consider any two-valued completion of a given three-valued interpretation. In this paper we formally prove that in case of BADFs we may bypass the computationally intensive procedure via applying Kleene's three-valued logic K. We therefore introduce the so-called bipolar disjunctive normal form which is simply a disjunctive normal form where any used atom possesses either a positive or a negative polarity. We then show that: First, this normal form is expressive enough to represent any BADF and secondly, the computation can be done via Kleene's K instead of dealing with two-valued completions. Inspired by the main correspondence result we present some first experiments showing the computational benefit of using Kleene.

Abstract:
Classical logic argumentation (Cl-Arg) under the stable semantics yields argumentative characterisations of non-monotonic inference in Preferred Subtheories. This paper studies these characterisations under both the standard approach to Cl-Arg, and a recent dialectical approach that is provably rational under resource bounds. Two key contributions are made. Firstly, the preferred extensions are shown to coincide with the stable extensions. This means that algorithms and proof theories for the admissible semantics can now be used to decide credulous inference in Preferred Subtheories. Secondly, we show that as compared with the standard approach, the grounded semantics applied to the dialectical approach more closely approximates sceptical inference in Preferred Subtheories.

Abstract:
In this paper, we propose to discuss possible ways to develop the psyche of a modern person, more precisely, the features of the development of the subjective sphere on the example of the development of his spirituality in the conditions of the formation of modern society. The research is carried out in the context of L. S. Vygotsky’s cultural and historical approach to the study of the psyche, further consideration and clarification of which in its entirety was carried out in the works of human dialectics philosophers (E. V. Ilyenkov, A. S. Arsenyev, V. S. Bibler, F. T. Mikhailov). The paper shows that a necessary condition for the implementation of the dialectical approach to the study of the human psyche is its consideration in interaction with the surrounding world. In this regard, the analysis of the activity performed by the subject is presented as having a dual nature, in accordance with the duality of the world in which a person lives. Based on the analysis of the duality of the activity performed by the subject, it is proposed to consider the mechanism of interaction between its two sides: semantic and operational-technical in the logic of Dialogue (V. S. Bibler). The process of mental development of a person is characterized as a constant interaction of two sides of the activity (consciousness), where one of them is a stimulus for the development of the second, which allows us to characterize the entire cycle of activity. The analysis of the interaction process of the content of the performed activity in accordance with the changing meanings of the subject allows us to show differences in the logic of its development. The logic of cause-and-effect relations and goal-setting logic are characterized, each of which is applicable to a certain type of activity: with objects of the material world and living people. As a result, based on the analysis of observed phenomena in life, the factors that contribute to and hinder the mental development of a person are presented.

Abstract:
This article is devoted to the innovative development of regions in program-target management. The dialectics of program-target management in economic system represents certain subject-object relationships between its elements that determine their qualitative and quantitative characteristics, a certain functional orientation, which corresponds to dialectical logic. The change in operating conditions is not homogeneous for different regions. The article proposes the structure of their division into: regions with high degree of concentration of industries that have become unprofitable in the transition from planned to market prices or have lost consumer demand for their products; peripheral regions, the situation of which has deteriorated due to the outstripping growth of transport tariffs in comparison with the prices for manufactured products; regions that previously received significant funds from the federal budget for investment and subsidizing production and have lost financial sources of these resources, which has led to a rapid reduction in potential output, job losses and aggregate incomes.

Abstract:
Доказывается, что историко-философское исследование является основанием для снятия фрактальной одномерности в ее же собственной разрывно-фрагментарной логике. the article explores the objective role and significance of historical-philosophical research in the conditions of total domination of fragmentation, which is the characteristic of late-stage functioning of the society of developed commodity production. It is shown that theoretically developed concept of fractality is an adequate expression of both the epistemological position of fragmented individual reproduced in such society and the main intersubjective definitions of historical movement at this stage. Contrary to the prevailing visual-image representation of the fractal, the universal nature and significance of this concept as a logical category is stated, which is opposite and dialectically connected to the category "totality", which occupies a special place in dialectical logic. It is proved that historical-philosophical research is the basis for the removal of the fractal one-dimensionality in its own discontinuous-fragmentary logic.

Abstract:
This paper engages in a dialectical analysis of street invading, a common phenomenon in China. Taking a specific case in Shanghai, the article tries to figure out the phenomenon’s social appearance and understand the essence behind it. Basing on the conceptual framework of “informal,” it is easy to find the essence of the phenomenon is informality. From the mechanism of the generation of informality, the paper then analyzes the intrinsic logic behind the street invading through top-down and bottom-up aspects, pointing out that this phenomenon should be understood as a new urban culture. Hence, despite this phenomenon has plenty of deficiencies, we ought not to forbid it all the time (like what the local Chinese government did before). Instead, the article suggests that instructing it in a proper way weighs more important and then introduces the specific measures taken by the local government in this case from both the top-down and bottom-up perspectives. Finally, the paper draws to a conclusion that in face of the street invading, instructing is more important than forbidding and summaries three strategies in how to deal with the similar cases.

Abstract:
Abstract: The Modern Age has promoted advances in technoscience and material quality of life. However, a cycle has been created in which the hypertrophy of logic and analysis does not solve the complexity of human phenomena. This author’s HPTD-M theory (Holopraxis Transdisciplinary Management) emerged in this context. The objective of this article is to provoke a comprehensive discussion on the creation of a transdisciplinary chair (TD chair) in universities, including courses of short duration for public and private organizations, effective envisaging and dialectical problem solving for issues involving the complexity of human phenomena, when the mechanistic and the systemicbiological-environmental approach are not enough. transdisciplinary Thirty-five-year research and professional experience culminated in the HPTD-M theory and a 14-hour successful TD pilot course for mediating managers in March/2023. This author’s proposal for a paradigm shift and TD Chair involves 1) A transdisciplinary course in the first semester of university graduation; 2) Simplification and flexibility to start (concepts of technoscience and complementarity); 3) The mediating professor for learning to learn and understanding, not only knowing; 4) Creation of a TD kind of Ph.D. and M.Sc. focused on the dialogue between theory praxis and generalist specialist. An MBA with more theory could be a starting point; 5) The three types of logic as tools for problem solving in dialogue with new ideas that make sense, considering the level of complexity in each concrete case; and 6) The abstract-concrete complementarity in problem solving and the concept of quaternary complementarities for troubleshooting in practice.
