This study aimed to investigate EFL teachers’ perspectives on distance education inthe Swedish context. The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has fuelled the need toinvestigate teachers’ experiences in the transition from face-to-face to onlineteaching. Five EFL teachers were interviewed to collect qualitative data, which wasanalysed using thematic analysis. The findings show that the participants had bothpositive and negative experiences of distance education. This paper explores fugitive slave advertisements from the pages of the New Orleans Argus in 1828. As the main repository for runaway slave advertisements in New Orleans at the time, the Argus played a critical role in policing and surveillance of the city’s enslaved population just as New Orleans was becoming the largest slave market in the South. Abstract:
Public education in the United States has experienced an increase in distance-learning (DL) opportunities. Because research has focused on student achievement in post-secondary DL programs, little is known about secondary students' experiences. The purpose of the current study was to explore DL applicability within secondary education. This study examined the Kenyan Diversified Secondary School Curriculum (KDSSC) which was implemented in 1985.<br>Data were collected from twelve provincial secondary schools selected from urban, semi-urban and rural regions.
