This paper investigates the dynamics of rent-seeking games that include political competition and policymaker cost model. The local asymptotic stability of multiple equilibrium points and Nash equilibrium points are studied. In the rent-seeking model, the existence and stability of Flip bifurcation and Neimark–Sacker bifurcation are examined, and the corresponding theorems and conditions are derived. The theoretical conclusions of the paper are verified by numerical simulations with different parameters. The simulation graphics show that the rent-seeking game model exhibits rich dynamic behavi

In this paper, a dynamic rent-seeking game incorporating policymaker cost and competition intensity is considered. On the basis of the political environment and rent-seekers with incomplete information set, the locally asymptotic stability of Nash equilibrium is proved. The competition intensity and policymaker cost could enlarge the stability region of Nash equilibrium. The higher the competition intensity is, the more the opponent’s expenditure reduces the player’s success probability, which is beneficial to the maintenance of Nash equilibrium. In this paper, we study a dynamic reaction model, in which the prey species is subjected to harvesting in the presence of a predator and a tax. That it is actually reality in itself - ontological reality - that we can get to know, not merely a mediation. Abstract:
The housing bust in Spain was characterised by a significant and rapid drop in home ownership among the younger cohorts, a relatively homogeneous but significant decrease in consumption and significant movements in the rent-to-house price ratio. To uncover the causes of these movements, we solve and estimate an equilibrium life-cycle model with non-linear income, mortgage and housing and rental market dynamics, and simulate a series of counterfactual policy changes and macroeconomic conditions observed in Spain during the period. The lion’s share of the observed drop in home ownership and cons

Abstract:
During 2004-06 Bolivia experienced a five-fold increase in oil revenues due to tax/ contractual innovations, higher prices and larger volumes at the same time that a multi-lateral debt reduction initiative trimmed roughly one third of the public external debt. The political economy setting of this environment entails a new hydrocarbons law that automatically decentralize expenditure to local governments and nationalization of the oil industry. This paper presents a model of fiscal dynamics in Bolivia in a stochastic framework and finds that the new status-quo will generate double reversions of

Abstract:
This paper describes a novel, dynamic, forward-looking applied general equilibrium model of Saudi Arabia that represents interactions between the energy sectors and the rest of the economy. This model serves to produce long-term scenarios that describe possible energy transition trajectories in terms of policies, emissions, and economic impacts. This model covers all the sources of greenhouse gas emissions and features several emission reduction technologies and a representation of hydrogen supply and demand. We explain the overall structure of the model and how the different energy demand tec

Hinterlang, Natascha. Effects of Carbon Pricing in Germany and Spain: An Assessment with EMuSe. Banco de España, 2023. http://dx.doi.org/10.53479/33814.

Abstract:
Using the dynamic, three-region environmental multi-sector general equilibrium model EMuSe, we find that pricing carbon in Germany or Spain only leads to a permanent negative effect on output in these economies. The induced emissions reduction is not large enough to overcompensate for the increase in marginal production costs. If the rest of Europe joins the carbon pricing scheme, long-run output effects are positive. However, in this case, transition costs are even larger due to close trade relations within Europe. We find evidence for carbon leakage, which can be reduced slightly by a border
