The quality control scheme on remanufactured Engine Electronic Control Unit (ECU) was studied designed. According to the effectiveness of environmental factors exciting faults, the quality control technology and method on remanufactured ECU was proposed to meet the rigorous quality requirements on remanufactured electronic product. The temperature cycling test, random vibration test and damp heat test in this scheme were defined. After experiments, the near failures ECUs are eliminated. The testing results indicate that used engines ECUs are suitable for remanufacturing and reusing.

Abstract:
Previous work has shown that the implementation of advanced compressor unit control routines have not been readily or consistently adopted by the industry. There are several barriers to the consistent adoption of advanced control methods: - Some of the control methods are complicated which makes them difficult to describe in a research report and also difficult to extract from the report and put into a software format that can be used in engine control systems; - The development of software code is performed independently by each adopter which can be time consuming and expensive; and - The rec

Abstract:
Pipeline engines fitted with modem automation and control systems serve as ideal candidates for On Board Diagnostics (OBD) and Diagnostic Monitoring (DM). OBD is very effective for real time performance monitoring, pollution prevention and safety monitoring in the engine room. Diagnostic Monitoring (DM) extends the capabilities of OBD by using extensive historical data to characterize unit specific characteristics thereby dealing with engines as individuals. The work to date has focused on the development of a methodology to support real-time multiparameter analysis and crosscheck of engine da

An executed NDA is required from Solar Turbines to have access to this document. The low load control algorithm for Solar Turbines' TaurusTM 60-7802S has been modified and evaluated in a field trial at the TransCanada Glenville Compressor Station. The algorithm has been modified to extend the bleed valve operating range to lower engine speed settings covering operation from idle to 50% load. The pilot fuel schedule has also been optimized with the new bleed valve schedule. The new control algorithm is designated as Enhanced Emissions Control (EEC). Abstract:
A study was completed to demonstrate that a guide vane field refurbishment process and improved maintenance practices are effective at preventing corrosion and lock-up of the guide vanes of Solars Taurus 60-7802S gas turbine operated in intermittent duty. A Taurus 60 engine located at Dominions Crayne compressor station was refurbished and operated over a five year period using maintenance practices to slow the build-up of corrosion. The visible condition of the VGV assembly on this Test Unit was monitored and the guide vane actuator force measured to assess if corrosion build-up was occurri

Cowell and Roesch. PR-283-14204-R01 SoLoNOx Low Load Controls to Reduce Emissions for Less Restrictive Load Following. Pipeline Research Council International, Inc. (PRCI), 2016. http://dx.doi.org/10.55274/r0011016.

Abstract:
A Mobile Emissions Lab (MEL) and two site visits for extensive low load emissions mapping were used to document the emissions performance of the test unit over a 10 month period from June 2015 to April 2016. Data was collected over a wide ambient temperature range from 35 to 108?F. The field trial has demonstrated that the new algorithm results in a significant reduction in NOx, CO and UHC emissions from idle to 50% load. Reductions in CO and UHC emission of 50 to 99% were demonstrated from idle to 50% load. NOx emissions reductions were slightly less ranging from 20 to 75% from idle to 50% lo

Development of an Adaptive Efficient Thermal/Electric Skipping Control Strategy Applied to a Parallel Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle. SAE International, 2022. http://dx.doi.org/10.4271/2022-01-0737.

Abstract:
In recent years automobile manufacturers focused on an increasing degree of electrification of the powertrains with the aim to reduce pollutants and CO2 emissions. Despite more complex design processes and control strategies, these powertrains offer improved fuel exploitation compared to conventional vehicles thanks to intelligent energy management. A simulation study is here presented aiming at developing a new control strategy for a P3 parallel plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. The simulation model is implemented using vehicle modeling and simulation toolboxes in MATLAB/Simulink. The proposed
