Abstract:
Over the last number of decades there has been a tendency within the international development sector to privilege the management of projects in a siloed manner. This translates to projects managed in a narrow way according to pre-defined parameters of say the education or health sectors. As a project manager you are held accountable for delivering education or health outputs. A shift in donor funding to focus on development projects that are considered easy to administer partly explains this siloed approach to project management within the development sector. However, there is a gradual kick

Most people living with HIV (PLHIV) established on treatment in Zambia receive multi-month prescribing and dispensing (MMSD) antiretroviral therapy (ART) and are enrolled in less-intensive differentiated service delivery (DSD) models such as Fast Track (FT), where clients collect ART every 3–6 months and make clinical visits every 6 months. In 2019, Zambia introduced Isoniazid Preventive Therapy (IPT) with scheduled visits at 2 weeks and 1, 3, and 6 months. Asynchronous IPT and HIV appointment schedules were inconvenient and not client centered. In response, we piloted integrated MMSD/IPT in F

The study was designed to cover this knowledge gap among professionals in government and private sector construction institutions, as well as insurance and financial institutions. Analysed data were approached quantitatively. Based on responses collected from 68 participants purposively sampled using a stru

Meeting the global challenge of preventing global temperatures rising by more than two degrees Celsius by the end of the century is not going to be easy. With the majority of carbon emissions coming from the developed nations, there is an onus of responsibility on these nations to support the developing nations, who have contributed the least. This would be a significant step towards delivering climate justice. This article demonstrates that gaining traction and support for climate justice can be achieved through the power of education, by translating contemporary research for children, connec

Abstract Background Risk of heterosexual HIV-1 transmission is elevated in the presence of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as chlamydia (CT) and gonorrhea (NG). Syndromic management is a common, low-resource, approach to detecting STIs. However, CT and/or NG infections in women are often asymptomatic and therefore missed by syndromic management. Molecular testing for STIs is highly sensitive, but time and cost restraints preclude implementation of these technologies in resource-limited settings.
