In my research I am looking for the prominent opportunities of the Slovak-Hungarian border. I would like to stress that the development of the regional economy is absolutely necessary regarding the improvement of the tourism sector since it will create opportunities to retail local goods. In order to improve tourism it is also vital to have a high standard in infrastructure and in services. The border destinations can be very tempting for investing capital and in this way the multiplicator effect can be realised. I also examine the motivations to cross the border. Optical interconnection between VLSI circuits, computing chips or boards plays an essential role on parallel computing. Such an approach utilizes the fast switching speed of electronics and the massive parallelism and wide bandwidth of optics for communication and provides the potential of achieving extremely high speed [1,2,3]. A generalized optical crossbar switch [4] which can provide a reconfigurable and arbitrary interconnection between an array of N lasers and an array of N detectors can be implemented using a parallel matrix-vector multiplication scheme [5]. The ability to enhance optical nonlinearities associated with the photogeneration of free carriers can be accomplished with carrier multiplication. The gain mechanism provided by carrier multiplication is inherently feasible in avalanche photodiodes. We present results from optical bistability experiments performed on silicon avalanche photodiodes under reverse bias conditions in the case of thermal nonlinearities (Joule heating) and electronic nonlinearities (free carrier plasma effects). The reflected intensity versus the operating voltage is measured at the input intensity of the diode, as

Regardless of the particular architecture chosen, certain operations such as multiplication, addition, and the generation, propagation, and detection of light must be performed in an optical linear algebra processor. We show that each of these operations introduces fundamental noise limitations which affect the overall accuracy of the processor. These limitations are examined for various types of light including polarized thermal light, unpolarized thermal light, and laser light, as well as for low light levels. The minor actinides (MA) is important nuclides in the spent fuel which is bad for human ecological environment. Pressurized water reactor (PWR) is the main reactor type at commercial operation around world. It is important to find the appropriate loading patterns when introducing minor actinides to the PWR core. In this paper, we study the effect of MA transmutation in the PWR on fuel cycle. First, we use the MCNP program to simulate the model of PWR and the effective multiplication factor. Then, the MA is introduced into core in different ways and mass to simulate the effective multiplication f

Maintaining agricultural productivity in the face of climate change requires development and distribution of new seed varieties. Unfortunately, Syria’s seed system was largely destroyed by the civil war. To rebuild seed manufacturing infrastructure, IRC launched a seed multiplication program in which farmers would receive free seeds in exchange for donating a portion of their harvest as seed for other farmers in their community. During the 2022-23 wheat season, this approach was piloted with 100 farmers. We conducted research with Airbel BI after the harvest to answer the following questions a

This study leveraged existing data infrastructure and relationships from the Feed the Future Senegal Naatal Mbay (“flourishing agriculture”) project, funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by RTI International from 2015 to 2019. The research informed and empowered farmer organizations to track and respond to rural households in 2020 as they faced the COVID-19 pandemic. Farmer organizations, with support from RTI and local ICT firm STATINFO, administered a survey to a sample of 800 agricultural households that are members of four former Naatal Mbay–support

Abstract:
Gram-negative plant pathogenic bacteria employ specialized type-III secretion systems (TTSS) to deliver an arsenal of pathogenicity proteins directly into host cells. These secretion systems are encoded by hrp genes (for hypersensitive response and pathogenicity) and the effector proteins by so-called dsp or avr genes. The functions of effectors are to enable bacterial multiplication by damaging host cells and/or by blocking host defenses. We characterized essential hrp gene clusters in the Stewart's Wilt of maize pathogen, Pantoea stewartii subsp. stewartii (Pnss; formerly Erwinia stewartii)

The goal of the project was to elucidate the molecular interactions between Cmmand tomato.
