Abstract:
Thyroglossal duct cysts, which are the most frequently encountered congenital cervical anomalies in children, occur due to embryologic remnants of the thyroglossal duct. Although diagnosis may be challenging, clinicians can be aided by imaging and fine-needle aspiration biopsies. We describe the clinical management of a two-year-old boy with a thyroglossal duct cyst mimicking a goitre on a pertechnetate thyroid scan.

Abstract:
Thyroglossal duct remnants form during embryologic development and can develop into a thyroglossal duct cyst (TGDC). In rare cases, carcinoma is present within these cysts, most commonly papillary thyroid carcinoma. Diagnosis is difficult, but imaging and fine-needle aspiration (FNA) biopsies can help with the diagnosis. Given the rarity of TGDC carcinoma, treatment is not well agreed upon and can include the Sistrunk procedure, thyroidectomy, nodal dissection, and postoperative radioactive iodine treatment. Here, we describe the presentation, workup, and treatment of a 20-year-old female with

Abstract:
Congenital midline cervical cleft (CMCC) is a rare disorder of the ventral neck that is clinically evident at birth and must be differentiated from the more common thyroglossal duct cyst. The case of CMCC presented here was associated with chromosomes 13/14 de novo Robertsonian translocations as well as midline deformities including a sacral tuft and a minor tongue-tie. The case is presented as well as discussion of histopathology, embryology, and surgical treatment.

Background: Accurate diagnosis is important for planning of management of the congenital cystic neck mass. Clinical history, physical examination and appropriate knowledge of embryology and anatomy of the cervical region frequently allow the differential diagnosis to be narrowed and ultrasound especially high frequency ultrasound help to further confirmation. USG has been used as the initial imaging procedure in the evaluation of them. Ultrasound not only confirms the cystic nature of the lesion but also evaluates exact location, size, extent, relation to the surrounding structures and interna

Introduction: Although thyroglossal duct cyst carcinoma is a pathology that is relatively easy to treat, it is an uncommon finding and little reported in the literature. Objective: To report the history, evolution and management of a patient with a thyroglossal duct cyst that progressed to carcinoma, review the pathophysiological nature of the disease, and the scarce literature that addresses this topic. Case summary: Woman, 40 years old, diagnosed in 2018 with a cyst in the thyroglossal duct. He is looking for a Head and Neck surgeon in 2020 to evaluate the case, to whom he reports an increas
