This article describes a study in which the closure success (i.e., status 26) rates for Caucasians and African Americans with mild and moderate mental retardation were analyzed. A series of chi-square tests were utilized to evaluate 40,046 cases obtained from the RSA-911 database for fiscal year 1997.
