The present study examines the relationship between acculturation, parental control, and psychological adjustment among adult first and second-generation Asian Indian women who have immigrated, or whose parents have immigrated to the United States, from the Indian state of Kerala. Data from 73 participants indicate second-generation immigrants report poorer psychological adjustment than do their counterparts. This thesis reviews the significance of the 1969 Japan-US Summit between Prime Minister Satii Eisaku and President Richard Nixon in light of official documents that have been disclosed in Japan since 2010 and in the United States since the 1990s. Based on newly available sources, this thesis shows that the 1969 Summit should be considered a Japanese-led initiative with two aims: firstly, to announce a deadline for Okinawa's return with all nuclear weapons removed; and secondly, to reform the Japan-US security treaty system without repeating the kind of outright revision concluded in 1960. Previous research on Asian intermarriage has examined the effects of cultural and structural assimilation, such as educational attainment, English ability, and income, on major Asian groups' intermarriage patterns. But it has given little attention to the importance of cultural retention in determining East Asians' intermarriage patterns and sometimes treats distinct East Asian groups as one pan-Asian group. The data were collected from these countries from January 1st, 2005 to December 31st, 2011, which totaled 1,488 daily stock returns on common trading days of their stock markets. The empirical results showed that the US put positive influence upon the daily stock returns of these Eastern Asian countries
