The publication represents a review of three major types of filter-fabrics which are actively applied by domestic industrial enterprises. It's specially noted that contemporary high-technological manufacturing is impossible without highquality materials. The domestic technologies on filter-fabric production deserve attention unconditionally. Nevertheless, together with modernization of domestic industrial production, the technologies on filter-fabric accumulation have to change also. Namely that's why the functioning of such enterprises, which lean on competitive ability principles, product qu

Random noise is often a problem in geophysical data visualization because it obscures fine details and complicates identification of image features. Adaptive filters have recently been used to suppress speckle (random) noise in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images. SAR data are similar to seismic reflection data, both in their data acquisition approach and in their final data processed format. The nature of the random noise associated is also very similar, and adaptive filters can be applied to reduce random noise in both types of data sets. Abstract Beverage production requires many different and complex unit operations. One crucial procedural step is filtration. Typical filters are filter presses, candle filters, membrane filters, belt filters, and drum filters, which require considerable hygienic precaution and the application of appropriate cleaning concepts. In the last decades, the hygienic design has become a central design feature of equipment in the beverage and food industries. Today, also correspondent concepts regarding filter cloth increasingly come to the fore. However, filter cloth cleaning is rapidly facing limitat

The goal is to predict the filter output using a black-box model to support the denoising process by means of a double-stage RC filter. Even though the Brazilian ethanol and sugar production system (based on sugarcane industry) have been providing large amounts of bioenergy, the extensive amounts of organic wastes generated cannot be ignored when it comes to sustainability. Using these biomasses to produce biomethane through anaerobic digestion has been proven as a promising way to tackle this issue. This study investigated the biomethane potential of the co-digestion of these biomasses: SF (sugarcane straw : filter cake = 8:2), SFV (sugarcane straw : filter cake : vinasse = 1:4:45), and D (digestate separated from AD of SFV).

The size of the expansion depends on the speed of the water flow through the filter medium during washing, as well as on the viscosity of the water, which changes depending on its temperature. Turbomachinery that operates in a field environment, such as turbochargers utilized by the natural gas transmission industry, are subjected to environmental conditions that affect machine performance. For example, dust and oil in the atmosphere can deteriorate the machinery and as such lower operating efficiencies. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of dust ingestion on compressor performance so operators can make informed decisions on sizing filter media and overhaul timing. Better decision making will ultimately increase the performance and lower maintenance costs.

Abstract:
Research has been conducted to assess the usefulness of various sampling and delivery methods in transporting a representative sample of a natural gas stream for analysis of moisture content. Three sampling configurations commonly used by the natural gas industry were evaluated, including a sample system with a regulated probe heated above ambient conditions, the same system held at a constant temperature simulating ambient conditions, and a heated sample system incorporating a membrane filter. Each configuration was used to transport samples of distribution-quality natural gas with levels of

Abstract:
In Play It as It Lays by Joan Didion, we are presented with a character in the midst of a crisis of identity. Maria, a failed actress in Hollywood, is beset by many of the problems commonly associated with a rising star in the industry. A reliance on drugs, a commodification of the self, and a deteriorating sense of who she is all play into her downward spiral. Yet when we examine the reason that Maria lacks an actualized sense of self, the reader is presented with a paradox. If we take the words of French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan to be true, then language serves to create a filter through

Abstract:
The objective of this study is to develop a new conductive thermoplastic material with superior electrical properties. Currently, conductive polymers are typically filled with carbon or metallic particles [1]. However, these filled thermoplastics exhibit drawbacks such as high rigidity, toxicity, and high viscosity [2]. An alternative approach investigated in this work is to substitute these fillers with intrinsically conductive polymers like Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT). PEDOT can achieve exceptional electrical conductivities (over 1000 S.cm-1) when combined with polymeric dopants

Abstract:
This study evaluates the technical and environmental feasibility of mechanically recycling post-industrial bulk molding compound (BMC) waste from the manufacturing of low voltage circuit breakers. Testing reveals that incorporating up to 10% recycled BMC as filler substitute maintains the required mechanical and electrical properties. A life cycle assessment shows that while replacing virgin fillers with recycled BMC has limited effects on the carbon footprint of the material, the overall product system benefits significantly by avoiding waste incineration. Moreover, optimized scenarios like m

Abstract:
The U.S. Freight Transload Facilities Dataset provides location information (latitude, longitude, zip, city, county, state)for more than 9,000 facilities across 50 U.S. States where freight may be transferred between waterways, railways, and roadways. The dataset lists the known modes and available direction(s) for freight transfers at each facility as of 2024. The U.S. Freight Transload Facilities dataset was built by mining and fusing several public sources, such as the USACE Master Docks Plus, the USDOT National Transportation Atlas Database (NTAD), files from the Intermodal Association of

Abstract:
The reliance on centrifugal pumps the world over implies a heavy reliance on mechanical seals. In order to get the highest level of performance from the seals, auxiliary systems are used either to condition the seal operating environment or monitor the systems and detect failures. Current standards already exist that recommend seal auxiliary systems based on certain pump operating conditions, and are widely accepted in the industry both among seal end-users and vendors. And because of their knowledge on the actual seals, the vendors are the primary source for end-users to receive designs and e

Abstract:
Open Source in Entertainment: How the Academy Software Foundation Creates Value tells the story of the ASWF; how it came to be, where it came from, what it has achieved so far, and where it aims to go next. It is a story about engineers and leaders who collectively generate value by developing critical open source software that powers much of the entertainment, gaming, and media industry productions, as well as the open standards needed for growth. Filled with imagery from iconic films, the report presents a compelling narrative about industry competitors, who, by working together, have shared

Reliability Based Design and Assessment (RBDA) methods for pipelines have some key benefits, including: consideration of the true structure behavior; achievement of consistent safety levels for all pipelines; optimal decisions that achieve better safety without increasing costs; adaptability to new technologies and unique loading situations; and integration of design and operational decisions. Although a considerable amount of research has been carried out towards the development of RBDA methods for the onshore pipelines, there are several technology gaps that limit the application of such met
