Random noise is often a problem in geophysical data visualization because it obscures fine details and complicates identification of image features. The nature of the random noise associated is also very similar, and adaptive filters can be applied to reduce random noise in both types of data sets. The removal of noise and outliers from measurement signals is a major problem in jet engine health monitoring. In this study, we look at the myriad filter as a substitute for the moving average filter that is widely used in the gas turbine industry. The three ideal test signals used in this study are the step signal that simulates a single fault in the gas turbine, while ramp and quadratic signals simulate long term deterioration. Results show that the myriad filter performs better in noise reduction and outlier removal when compared to the moving average filter. Further, an adaptive weighted

However, this filter cake discharge is typically incomplete, and various spots remain contaminated. While the demand for filters has gradually increased, the environmental requirements and conditions have become severe. The filters are easily deformed from higher liquid pressure during operation and setup and need to be replaced frequently. With the lifetime of filters shortened, manpower increases to replace filters. Hence, the inner structure of a PP melt-blown filter cartridge is suppor

Abstract. Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) is an economically significant pathogen in the swine industry that can spread through the air. Many swine gestation and farrowing barns with negative-pressure ventilating systems filter the inlet air to manage airborne PRRSV transmission using MERV 8 pre-filters in series with either MERV 14 or MERV 16 filters. Recent research reported air infiltration rates for a new 3,000-sow gestation/farrowing swine barn at several static pressure levels.
