Abstract:
In this paper, predictive control has been implemented by several methods in a most simplified manner for quadruple tank system, i.e., a multi-input multi-output control problem. Quadruple tank system is a nonlinear system which can be adjusted to obtain two different class of system i.e., minimum and nonminimum phase, therefore tuning for each phase of system has to be tackled separately. Control system design has been obtained by manual proportional-integral controller, traditional generalized predictive control, predictive proportional-integral-derivative on the basis of generalized predict

This article mainly studies the trajectory tracking control for quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle with unknown time-varying disturbances including parametric uncertainties, model errors, and external disturbances such as wind effects. Conventional backstepping control schemes usually cannot guarantee the performance when it faces the time-varying disturbances. Improved schemes, such as integral backstepping, can only compensate the disturbances in a relatively slow way. Abstract:
Abstract This paper presents a new generalized dynamic observer (GDO) for quasi-linear parameter varying (LPV) systems. It generalises the structures of the proportional observer (PO) and proportional integral observer (PIO). The design of the GDO is derived from the solution of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) and the solution of the algebraic constraints obtained from the estimation error analysis. The efficiency of the proposed approach is illustrated by a numerical example.

Abstract:
This thesis is concerned with the True Digital Control (TDC) design philosophy and its practical embodiment in the non-minimal state space (NMSS) approach to control design, for systems described by discrete time transfer function models in the backward shift operator. This yields Proportional-Integral-Plus (PIP) controllers that are particularly easy to implement in practice, since the state variables are defined only in terms of the sampled input and output signals. The basic PIP algorithm is extended and enhanced in various ways to form a more sophisticated Generalised PIP controller. This

The digitization of classical control systems presents a number of challenges and opportunities with respect to the miniaturization, distribution, reliability verification and obsolescence of both the controller and the underlying system under control. A method for the design of proportional-integral-derivative (PID) compensators realized in the form of all-digital components is presented. All-digital refers to a system implementation that is realizable with a wide range of digital logic components including discrete digital logic elements and programmable logic devices (PLDs) such as field-pr

This is based on research results and algorithms developed by Bhattacharyya and others.
