Abstract:
AbstractA number of longstanding questions have surrounded the early life of the fifteenth-century Venetian artist Giovanni Bellini (d. 1516), generally believed to have been the son of Jacopo Bellini (ca. 1400–70/71) and the younger brother of Gentile Bellini (1429/35–1507). The artist’s year of birth and the legitimacy of his birth have been the subjects of debate for well over a century. By reevaluating Bellini-related legal documents under the relevant fifteenth-century Venetian civil laws, this article makes a case that Giovanni Bellini was not Jacopo Bellini’s son, but rather his half-br

e4275120This text aims to analyze the tensions that were marked in the professional development of a literacy teacher when entering a public school system. Initially, some conceptions of a beginning teacher present in the literature are presented and the historical-cultural perspective is adopted as a theoretical framework, with the studies of Yves Clot and collaborators on the teaching activity, the professional gender of the teacher. The data consists of different narratives of the teacher: memorial of formation in the master's dissertation, written and oral narratives produced during her pa

Abstract:
The paper presents a model of the planar broadband differential waveguide interferometer. Its response to the change in thickness and refractive index of the waveguide layer due to the change in humidity is presented. The analysis was carried out for the wavelength range from 450 nm to 850 nm. The orthogonal modes TE0 and TM0, which propagate in this wavelength range, are considered. It is shown that by using light near the maximum of the system characteristic, instead of the spectrometer, the total power at the system output can be measured. Full Text: PDF ReferencesM.

ABSTRACT Present knowledge of microbial diversity is decidedly incomplete (S. J. Giovannoni and M. S. Rappé, p. 47-84, in D. Kirchman, ed., Microbial Ecology of the Oceans, 2000; E. Stackebrandt and T. M. Embley, p. 57-75, in R. R. Colwell and D. J. Grimes, ed., Nonculturable Microorganisms in the Environment, 2000). Protistan phylogenies are particularly deficient and undoubtedly exclude clades of principal ecological and evolutionary importance (S. L. Baldauf, Science 300:1703-1706, 2003). Background:Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) is a relatively safe and effective drug widely used as primary or adjunctive treatment for several rheumatological and dermatological disorders1. HCQ modulates immune response through several mechanisms and has a tropism for pigmented ocular tissues, particularly retinal pigment epithelium (RPE)2. Its accumulation within RPE cells can lead to sight threatening retinal toxicity, with bull’s eye maculopathy (BEM) representing its advanced phenotype. 3 Quantitative Auto-Fluorescence (qAF) is an imaging modality that allows the measurement of retinal auto-fluore
