Abstract:
Fast-slow systems are studied usually by "geometrical dissection" [Borisyuk & Rinzel, 2005]. The fast dynamics exhibit attractors which may bifurcate under the influence of the slow dynamics which is seen as a parameter of the fast dynamics. A generic solution comes close to a connected component of the stable invariant sets of the fast dynamics. As the slow dynamics evolves, this attractor may lose its stability and the solution eventually reaches quickly another connected component of attractors of the fast dynamics and the process may repeat. This scenario explains quite well relaxation

In this thesis, we study the compatibility between local and global Langlands correspondences for \(GL_n\). This generalizes the compatibility between local and global class field theory and is related to deep conjectures in algebraic geometry and harmonic analysis, such as the Ramanujan-Petersson conjecture and the weight monodromy conjecture. Let L be a CM field. We consider the case when \(\Pi\) is a cuspidal automorphic representation of \(GL_n(\mathbb{A}_L^\infty)\), which is conjugate self-dual and regular algebraic.

The paper aims to present the advantages and limitations of such a study, as well as the importance of monitoring erosion phenomena (in this case, gullies) for the ecosystem, but also the nearby inhabitants. Nuclear energy must be made available, freely and readily, to help meet world energy needs. The perspective offered here is a model for others to consider, adopting and adapting using whatever elements fit their own strategies and needs. The underlying philosophy is to retain flexibility in the reactor development, deployment and fuel cycle, while ensuring the principle that customer, energy market, safety, non-proliferation and sustainability needs are all addressed. Canada is the world’s largest exporter of uranium, providing about one-third of the world supply for nuclear power reactors. Ca

Do global credit conditions affect local credit and business cycles? Using a large cross-section of equity and corporate bond market returns around the world, we construct a novel global credit factor and a global risk factor that jointly price the international equity and bond cross-section. We uncover a global credit cycle in risky asset returns, which is distinct from the global risk cycle. We document that the global credit cycle in asset returns translates into a global credit cycle in credit quantities, with a tightening in global credit conditions predicting extreme capital flow episode
