It is worth noting that this is still a very active research area, especially in the developing area of probabilistic load forecasts. Obviously error measures can only be calculated after the actual observations have become available, although in practice forecasts are evaluated on the historical data by splitting it into training and testing periods (see Sect. 8.1.3).

Abstract:
Analysis of the portfolio related to indigenous peoples in the context of the Indigenous Development Strategy (IDS) approved in 2006, shows that: (i) indigenous issues are less prevalent in Country Strategies from 2006 onward; (ii) the instrument most used to address indigenous issues is technical cooperation, followed by loan operations; (iii) there is limited evidence of a mainstreaming approach to the integration of indigenous issues in IDB operations; (iv) the number of loans with a proactive approach declined after approval of IDS; (v) the evaluability of operations related to indigenous

Abstract:
Based on the geological and petrographical studies and chemical analysis of drill-core and outcrop samples, the geology and mineralization at the Phu Lon area are revealed. The Phu Lon prospect is a Cu-Fe-Au-Ag skarn deposit of porphyry-related type. The copper- and iron-rich zones are hosted predominantly in the garnet-pyroxene skarn that is developed metasomatically at the contact between the diorite-monzodiorite intrusions and a marble with minor calcsilicate unit. The main stage of iron mineralization probably took place during the prograde garnet-pyroxene skarn formation and was genetical

Abstract:
Using borrower-level data from FINCA, one of Peru's leading microfinance institutions (MFIs), this paper evaluates the effect on borrowers' access to credit of FINCA's decision to share information on individual outstanding debt records (positive information) as well as group default records (negative information). Since all borrowers were simultaneously exposed to the same policy, the paper develops a creative identification strategy that relies on the exogenous variation of the opening and closing dates of loan cycles across lending groups. A credit expansion effect is identified for some bo

Full text
Abstract:
The girth weld defect acceptance standards based on good workmanship reflect quality levels that can be reasonably expected from a qualified welder. Workmanship (WM) or weld quality standards specify a maximum allowable length whilst the percentage loss of cross-sectional area is used for porosities. This approach to defect acceptance philosophy has arisen from the use of radiography as the NDE technique for detecting and quantifyingweld discontinuities. The first WM standard for inspection and acceptance of finished girth welds was implemented by API in 1953. The specific requirements of the

Review question / Objective: - Does the osseodensification drilling technique increase primary stability in low-density bone? - The aim of the present investigation was to evaluate primary stability in dental implants in people with low density bone using the osseodensification technique. Condition being studied: The replacement of missing teeth through dental implants is currently the most practiced in dental clinics. The main criterion for determining the success of an implant is osseointegration, which is a direct structural and functional connection between vital bone and the prosthetic lo

What makes some children succeed despite studying in failing education systems? Are these children exceptionally gifted, or do other psychological or sociological factors and family circumstances contribute to success? To address the learning crisis in state schools in developing countries, development agencies have primarily focused on identifying inputs that can improve state education provision. Yet, even from low-performing state schools, some children do manage to successfully complete primary and secondary education cycles, pursue higher education, and record upward social mobility, but
