Due to a high rate of irritable bowel syndrome incidence in Gomel region in comparison with the other regions of the Republic of Belarus, 140 therapists in outpatient clinics were questioned. The results revealed a low awareness of the primary care physicians of the city of Gomel and Gomel region in the problem of functional pathology of gastrointestinal tract and as a consequence - aberration of statistical indices with a tendency to overdiagnosis due to the absence of unified approaches in the management of functional gastrointestinal pathology.

The material of the study became 85 cases of TNBC revealed in Gomel region in 2014. Within the microbiological monitoring program, to study the prevalence of carbapenemase-producing K. pneumoniae in the healthcare organizations of the Gomel region and assess their level of resistance to antibacterial drugs. Materials and methods. For 91 clinical isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae with multiple antibiotic resistance, isolated in Gomel and Gomel region, carbapenemase genes were detected by real-time PCR and sensitivity to antibacterial drugs was determined. The variability of N-acetyltransferase phenotype by 129 Caucasoids, citizens of Gomel and Gomel region has been studied. The phenotype of acetylation has been estimated at the ratio of concentrations of acetylated and free isoniazids, which have been determined by means of high-performance liquid chromatography. The presence of trymodal distribution of the acetylated phenotype has been determined. The ratio of slow and quick acetylators in the population makes 66 and 34 % correspondingly. According to published data, there are differences in the registered incidence of chronic Ph-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) in some regions of the world. The ageing of the population is a prevailing demographic problem. The share of the elderly people in Gomel region exceeds 22 per cent. Improvement of iodine status of schoolchildren aged 9-12 years in Belarus (iodine excretion median in 2018 was equal to 191,3 f-ig/l) for the last decade resulted in significant decrease of diffuse goiter incidence except Gomel region, where trend to increase was recorded. At the same time autoimmune thyroiditis incidence demonstrated significant growth in Brest and Grodno regions by 1,5 and 1,7 fold correspondingly. The treatment methods of acquired aplastic anemia are considered in the work; some difficulties arising in the process of stem cell transplantation and therapy are described. Also, an analysis of statistical data was carried out, on the basis of which graphs and charts were designed. In the process of data analysis, it was found that boys get sick 1.8 times more often than girls. Two peaks were found when the disease arose more often: at 11 and 16 years old. A rough intense indicator of the incidence of AAA among children 0-17 years old from 2000 till 2018 was 0.26 cases per 100 thousand child
