This chapter examines the relationship between reading habits and comprehension strategy use among Grade 9 English FAL learners in township schools. Using a quantitative questionnaire survey with 73 learners selected via stratified random sampling, findings from SPSS analysis reveal diverse reading habits, including daily, school-based, leisure, and self-initiated reading. These habits notably impact comprehension, with proficient readers showing proactive reading approaches.
