In contrast, genotype KG-43-33/1 achieved the best results under T3 in the less favorable 2014 season (1.61 g), indicating its adaptability to adverse conditions, with foliar N fertilization. KG-28-6 and KG-44-3/1 are more stable and recommended for growing in various agroecological conditions.

The article presents the results of studies of biological activity in the rhizosphere system associative bacteria − Oryza sativa L. The pre-sowing treatment of seeds with associative symbionts activates biological processes in the rhizosphere and contributes to the increased productivity of Oryza sativa L. The number of grains per spike rose by 28.2-59.0%, 1000-grain weight – by 6.2%-10.6% compared to control.

The sample of 596 plants, in total, of bread wheat varieties Pobeda, Sara, Renesansa, and Pesma were tested for abiotic stress tolerance in eight environments, out of which six were under soil or/and atmospheric stress. Plant adaptive plasticity was followed by the variation of three phenotypic markers: grain weight/spike, spike length, and grain number per spike. A desirable genetic variation was recognized and singled out within the existing gene pool, to enhancing stress tolerance in wheat in order to face the challenges and contribute to food security in rapid climate changes.

Treatment of the triticale phytomass with the complex biological preparation KBP-5M before incorporation into the soil contributed to the activation of microbiological processes in the 0-30 cm layer. In the variants when the plant was in the phenological stage of spike emergence, we noted an increase in the content of N-NO3 by 0.19-0.46 mg per 100 g of soil; Р2О5 – up to 2.97; K2О – up to mg/100 g. The results of the inheritance of grain number per main spike in F1 hybrids of winter barley under the conditions of the V.M. Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat of NAAS are presented. Different types of trait inheritance were established depending on the combination of crossing. According to the type of positive overdominance (hp ≥ +1.00), 7 hybrid combinations of winter barley were selected. As genetic sources for increasing the grain productivity of plant, the variety KWS Tenor and the line Pallidum 5173 should be used as the maternal component.
