Cutting performance of reaming alloy gray cast iron HT250 using carbide, cermet and CBN reamers was studied. Experiments were conducted under constant cutting parameters and cooling strategy. Tool life, hole diameter, spindle power, surface roughness and tool wear were analyzed. The hole diameter and spindle power would keep steady when reaming with carbide reamer after 400 holes to the tool life of 1050 holes. But holes diameter reduced and spindle power increased with the number of machined holes increasing during the whole tool life when using cermet or CBN reamer. The surface roughness Rz

Ad-hoc networks consist of a set of autonomous communicating devices that can communicate with each other by establishing multi-hop radio connections, and these connections are maintained in a localized manner. In these types of networks, especially where the nature of communicating nodes is mobile, e.g., MANETs, maintaining security remains a serious challenge due to their wireless, open, and shared communication medium, reliance on cooperative algorithms, dynamically adaptable topologies, an absence of centralized watching points, etc. Most of the existing protocols, utilized for routing in

MANET is the mobile ad-hoc network. Security is very important especially when transmitting the data packets from one node to another. MANET is constructed by grouping mobile wireless nodes with no fixed infrastructure. In order to forward the packets, all the nodes in the network must cooperate with each other, so that the nodes beyond the radio ranges can communicate. Each node acts as a router and MANET is infrastructure-less networks. Hence, MANET is open to more security attacks such as Gray-hole attack, Black-hole attack and worm-hole attack. An Ad hoc network is the network with no fixed infrastructure. There is no central administrator so any node can come and move in and outside of the network in a dynamic manner. This makes it more dynamic and complex which makes it more prone to attacks. They can attack either active or passive. Some effects of malicious nodes are Denial of service, Routing table overflow, Impersonation, Energy consumption, Information disclosure etc. A black hole attack node attracts all packets by falsely claiming a fresh route to the destination node and absorbs them without forwarding them to destination.

Gray wolves (Canis lupus) are frequently captured with leg-hold traps for reintroduction, relocation to reduce depredations on livestock, or as subjects for research projects. Wolves captured with leg-hold traps often sustain injuries to their feet, legs, and teeth during struggles to escape. Other studies have shown that the use of tranquilizer devices on leg-hold traps reduces such injuries to coyotes. This study (1) assessed whether use of tranquilizer trap devices (TTDs) on leg-hold traps reduced the severity of injuries sustained by captured wolves, and (2) examined the effects TTDs have

This paper examines the anti-terrorist strategy developed by Peru from the paradigm of the constitutional rule of law. One expression of this counter-insurgency fight was the nearly permanent establishment of states of emergency and the adoption of criminal emergency laws, which are critically analyzed, because they led to serious results on fundamental rights. In that sense, it is shown, with severe concern, the establishment by the Peruvian Government of legal “black holes” and “gray holes” at the expense of victims of enforced disappearance. The Greater Yellowstone Area (GYA) is one of the last remaining large and nearly intact temperate ecosystems on Earth (Reese 1984; NPSa undated). GYA was originally defined in the 1970s as the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, which encompassed the minimum range of the grizzly bear (Schullery 1992). The boundary was enlarged through time and now includes about 22 million acres (8.9 million ha) in northwestern Wyoming, south central Montana, and eastern Idaho. Two national parks, five national forests, three wildlife refuges, 20 counties, and state and private lands lie within the GYA boundary. GY

Abstract:
In September 2023, an outbreak of mpox caused by the monkeypox virus (MPXV) clade Ib was reported in Kamituga, a mining region in the Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). More cases of mpox started to be reported across the country and in neighbouring countries in the east, including Rwanda, Uganda and Burundi.1 In February 2025, the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention and the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) determined that the ongoing upsurge of mpox continues to be a public health emergency of international concern (as first declared in August

Abstract:
Background. People who receive home- and community-based services (HCBS) have diverse and unique needs that can be met with these services aiming to support their independence. Purpose. To map the existing literature on HCBS in terms of interventions, populations, outcomes, person-centeredness, and relevant quality measures, and identify research gaps for older adults. Methods. A comprehensive literature search of multiple databases including Medline, Embase, and Scopus was conducted up to December 7, 2023, and complemented with grey literature search and feedback from Key Informants. Birds are an important component of park ecosystems. Due to their high body temperature, rapid metabolism, and high ecological position in most food webs, birds are also good indicators of the effects of local and regional ecosystem changes. Patterns in the community composition, distribution, and occurrence of breeding birds provide a metric for assessing ecological integrity and sustainability in southeastern U. S. ecosystems. Further, trends in these attributes in relation to activities occurring at Cumberland Island National Seashore (e.g., management actions, natural disturbance, invasive

Birds are prominent features of National Park Service lands and are effective indicators for monitoring ecosystem health. Assessing the temporal change of avian species abundance depends on long-term monitoring of bird communities and trends, however long-term monitoring programs are generally uncommon. In this report, we summarize 22 years (1997-2018) of point count data across five sites on West Virginia National Park Service lands (three in New River Gorge National River, one in Gauley River National Recreation Area, and one in Bluestone National Scenic River) and compare these results to o
