Stoats (Mustela erminea) are active hunters and, therefore, one might predict that any broken bones or other injuries impeding active movement would incur a serious risk of starvation. The paper analyses the relationship between liberalization of trade policy and the dynamics of real merchandise import of Latin America countries, using models based on panel data. Gross Domestic Product and relative prices are found to be significant determinants of the import demand function.
