HES6 is a novel member of the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) family of transcription factors that is involved in the activation of the myoblast differentiation program. Studies demonstrated that HES6 can regulate transcription from gene promoters containing an N box (CACNAG), a DNA motif located in the regulatory regions of many muscle-specific genes involved in myoblast differentiation. This suggested that a HES6 heterodimer could bind to the N box. The Hairy enhancer of split 6 (Hes6) protein modulates myogenesis and neurogenesis by repressing inhibitors of differentiation. We demonstrate that Hes6 dependent transcriptional repression in myoblasts is mediated by recruitment to the DNA N-box. Identification of putative targets of Hes6 was attempted by creating inducible clones. Alternately, a target was sought by comparing cells with constitutive Hes6 expression to wildtype cells using DNA microarray technology. Mammalian cortical neurogenesis is a highly regulated developmental process. The main factors involved in this regulation are the bHLH family of transcription factors, of which the Hes family of Notch effector proteins play a major role. Hes1 acts as a transcriptional repressor by recruiting the co-repressor Gro/TLE and functions to prevent differentiation of progenitors into neurons. Medulloblastoma (MB) is the most common malignant brain tumor affecting children. The transcription factors MYCN and SOX9 are associated with initiation, maintenance and recurrence of MB and are also connected to more aggressive tumors. In this study, a ChIP was performed to isolate DNA from genes that are transcriptionally regulated by these proteins. Identification of these target genes will reveal new potential drug targets and help us better understand the functions of MYCN and SOX9. Ce travail étudie les mécanismes physiopathologiques de deux thrombopénies héréditaires (TH). Premièrement on identifie des anomalies génétiques causant une nouvelle TH de transmission autosomique récessive, associée à une tendance au saignement et un défaut de réorganisation du cytosquelette de formation des proplaquettes (PPT) et d'activation des plaquettes. On identifie par séquençage exomique une mutation homozygote du gène PRKACG qui entraîne une perte de fonction. On montre que la mutation est associé à un défaut important dans la formation des PPT ainsi qu'à une diminution de filamin A

Diese Quelle ist eines der schwächsten Objekte im TeV-Bereich mit einem Photonfluss von Φ(>1 TeV) = (1.65 ± 0.28stat ± 0.33sys) × 10^−13 cm^−2 s^−1, was ~1% des Krebsnebelflusses im gleichen Energiebereich entspricht. Die Analyse des aktuellen H.E.S.S. Datensatzes von 145 Stunden Beobachtungen mit hoher Qualität gibt Einblicke in die Morphologie von HESS J1741−302. Måleriet står som grund för mitt konstnärskap. Ett måleri som jag vill kunna gå in i snarare än att enbart betrakta. Detta har lett till att måleriet flyttat ut i rummet som kulisser och platta figurer, som skapar scener, scener där verken aldrig tar slut. Verken för sig har givna dimensioner men kan flyttas om på nytt för att bilda nya berättelser och installationer beroende på plats, kontext och relationerna verken emellan.
