The electricity use characteristics of 16 air conditioned houses each of 2 bedrooms flat government owned housing unit in Gusau, Nigeria were investigated. Monthly electricity consumption data were gathered and analysed to obtain a breakdown of the energy use. Results show an annual electricity consumption of 572933 kWh with energy use per unit gross floor area of 236.73 kWh/m2. The percentage consumption for the three major electricity end users, namely air conditioning, electrical appliances and lighting were 78%, 21%, and 1%, respectively. World energy demand continues to increase by 45% until 2030 based on projections of the International Energy Agency (IEA) with an average increase of 1.6% per year. About 80% of these energy needs supplied by fossil fuels. This increase occurred due to population growth, industrialization, lifestyle changes, and the use of increasingly complex technology. The household sector is one of the sectors that require energy to meet daily needs. This paper presents the results of calculating the heat exchange intensity of combustion products of various nonproject gaseous fuels using hydrogen, methane-hydrogen mixture (MHM) and thermochemical conversion gases as examples. To identify the possibility of energy utilization of generated gases in standard boiler units, a comparison with the combustion products of natural gas is carried out here. It is determined that the use of hydrogen or methane-hydrogen mixture will require either changes in the heating surface at a constant capacity, or its reduction due to changes in the thermal absor

To realize the economical consumption of wind energy (WE), an optimal dispatch strategy for wind-thermal-energy storage systems (WTESSs) is proposed. The scheduling model is divided into two stages. In the first stage, the strategy aims to shave peaks and fill valleys in the load curve using a time-of-use (TOU) electricity price and to reduce the variance of the net load and use the energy time-shift characteristics of energy storage systems (ESSs) to optimize their charging and discharging power. In the second stage, the strategy minimizes the cost of WTESSs, obtaining the output power of the

Abstract One of the key undertakings during the energy transition is the assurance of process efficiency in oil and gas operations. By streamlining and optimizing different aspects of production operations, the overall carbon footprint can be reduced. Newly obtained laboratory data on the air injection process could potentially help with making this process more efficient. Historically, the transition from low-temperature range (LTR) to high-temperature range (HTR) during heavy oil in-situ combustion (ISC) has been attributed solely to oil characteristics. However, our research challenges this
