Genital oedema is gaining increased recognition internationally. This condition occurs as an acute swelling after an infection or inflammation of the pelvic organs and usually disappears with treatment of the underlying disease. It may also present as a chronic swelling due to either acquired or congenital dysfunction of the lymphatic system that is draining the genital area.

Inflammation of the glans penis (balanitis) occurs in 3–11% of males during their lifetime; one of its leading causes is poor hygiene. Symptomatic infertility is a temporary or permanent disturbance in reproductive function wherein the animal cannot become pregnant due to diseases of genital organs or systemic diseases. Since female rabbits, due to their precociousness and fertility, are often used for reproduction, the leading causes of symptomatic infertility in them are the absence of estrous cycles or their deficiency and inflammation of tissues of the reproductive system. Infertility is observed in female rabbits developing such infectious diseases as pasteurellosis, spirochetosis, and myxomatosis. It is due to these dis

Measuring the level of exhaled NO (eNO) in the breath is a new method to monitor airway inflammation in asthma and may have a role in the management of asthma. The hypotheses were that eNO will reflect the degree of inflammation in chronic asthma, and will indicate how anti- inflammatory therapy should be altered to improve asthma control. Three studies were performed to test the hypotheses. A cross sectional study was performed to define the normal range of eNO and to compare this range with those who have asthma or atopy. The HIV epidemic persists in many parts of the world, with the majority of new infections occurring through the female genital tract (FGT). The permissiveness of the genital mucosa to HIV is modulated by the integrity of the epithelial barrier, the presence of pro-inflammatory cytokines, and the frequency of CCR5+CD4+ T cell targets. Here we focus on two biological perturbations: endogenous alterations in cervicovaginal bacteria and exogenous injectable progestin-only contraceptives (IPCs). Introduction: Metastases of mammary carcinomas to female genital tract organs are rare, and when present, the most common site is the ovaries (88%), followed by the vagina (6%). The estimated prevalence for uterine metastases is about 8%, with the majority occurring in the myometrium. Endometrial metastases occur in 4% of cases but are uncommon in the form of a polyp, with few cases described in the literature. Lobular tumors, although less frequent than ductal tumors in terms of overall prevalence, are the ones that most metastasize to the genital tract, accounting for about 80% of cases. Of
