As we know, the language is a whole system, and it is impossible to understand it at a complete and sufficient level without knowing the internal laws existing in this system, without taking into account the dialectical unity of language rules with each other. In the learning process, integration is built on the basis of comparison, and it is flawed to make concepts that have no similarities into an object of comparison. Without knowing the lexical-grammatical signs of any linguistic concept, it is impossible to understand the nature of the relationship between them, and thus, to understand th

This article evaluates the credo ‘integration while maintaining one’s identity’ with the help of psychological arguments. First, it explores the requirements of being a good citizen in a liberal democracy. It then investigates psychological theories about identity and the relation between culture and identity. AbstractA fundamental problem in the study of ‘integration’ has been a failure to separate the empirical is from the normative ought: that is, to study what is happening in society separately from implicit assumptions on a desired end-goal. A crucial question, Castles et al. (2014, p. 264) write, concerns how immigrants and their descendants “can become part of receiving societies and nations”. This process, they note, is most commonly referred to as integration, “but this can imply a specific idea of where the process should lead, so we prefer the more neutral term ‘incorporation’”.
