Objective - to study the microbial composition of the intestinal mucosa in patients with seborrheic dermatitis. Materials and research methods. We examined 67 pa­tients with seborrheic dermatitis aged 18-57 years; the average age of the patients was 29.5 years. Patients with seborrheic dermatitis having been examined represented by 45 (67.2 %) men and 22 (32.8 %) women. Among the patients examined by us, in 37 (55.2 %) the pathological process was localized only on the skin of the scalp, and in 30 (44.8 %) the pathological process spread to other areas of the skin.
