Given the circumstance that the process for the revision of the international standard ISO 19157 is currently open, this article presents a critical reflection on its content, application and some challenges posed by the new types of data (e.g. big data, BIM data, etc.), that also have a geospatial component and to which, therefore, this international standard can be applied as well. Proposals are put forward going along three lines of improvement, on the one hand the consideration of new data quality elements and on the other, the reinforcement of the interoperability of this international standard with other standards related to data quality, and finally various improvements (e.g. standardization of evaluation methods, clearly introducing the life cycle, improvement of the definition of metaquality, etc.) of the standard, which come from experience.

Abstract:
The International Standard Organization (ISO) published two museum standards, ISO 18461:2016 - International museum statistics and ISO 21246:2019 - Key indicators for museums, which were developed through close cooperation with International Committee for Documentation (CIDOC) of the International Council of Museums (ICOM). This study aimed to introduce the major characteristics and details of ISO 21246 and to derive practical results for the improvement of museum evaluation in Korea by analyzing ISO 21246. ISO 21246 is the international standard for museum indicators, consisting of six clauses and two annexes. Firstly, This study summarized ISO 21246:2019, compared it with ISO 18461, and analyzed terms and its definitions and each evaluation indicator of ISO 21246. Secondly, this study compared ISO 21246:2019 with museum and library evaluation indicators of the Korean government and other related research. Thirdly, based on that analysis, this study suggested new museum evaluation indicators for the museums of Korea consisting of 48 indicators in 9 categories and proposed various recommendations for Korean museum evaluation policy. This study is significant in a sense that it can usefully function as a complement to Korean museum evaluation policy through examining in detail ISO 21246:2019 which has not been clearly studied in Korea until recently.

Abstract:
High octane blend base gasoline stocks are reformulated from 30% LSRN, 45% Reformate and 25% Powerformate on volume basis. ASTM standard and IROX 2000 analysis are performed to test blend stocks sample. Different additive types are used to improve octane number. These additives are tetraethyl lead, methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl; methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, iso-propanol, n-butanol, sec-butanol, tertiary butyl alcohol, tert-amyl alcohol, active amyl alcohol, iso-pentyl alcohol, isobutyl carbinol, benzol ,telone, xylene, amino benzene, N-N-dimethyl aniline, dimethyl ketone, and ethyl methyl ketone. Comparison is made between significant individual RON gains measured by standard CFR test-engine. The results indicated that the combined iso-propanol, oxinol (50/50 blend of methanol and TBA), aniline, and xylene with hydrocarbons fraction content in the gasoline base pool is better to ensure high RON. The results showed that a mixture of 20/54/10/16 of blend aniline/ iso-propanol/ oxinol/ xylene respectively, led to an increase in RON of gasoline blend pool from 84.5 to 96 RON, or 11.5% RON gain.

Abstract:
Abstract In their quest to achieve superior performance and business results, organizations have extensively adopted models such as ISO 9001 Quality Managements Standards. Research supports that Quality Management System brings significant benefits for organizations competitiveness and success and more than 1 million organizations of all activity sectors worldwide have implemented ISO 9001. In a world of increasingly complexity and interconnection, the revised ISO 9001:2015 International Standard aims to ensure that Quality Management Systems are flexible while remaining reliable. The concept of Change Management was introduced in the standard and Improvement can be achieved both in a continual/incremental mode (already present in the ISO 9001:2008 edition) and in a breakthrough change/disruptive mode (new in ISO 9001:2015). ISO 9001:2015 is now closer to Business Excellence Models, such as the EFQM, that highlight the need for agility and flexibility for enduring success. To access if organizations that have already implemented ISO 9001:2015 are indeed managing change and achieving improvement, and if there is a relationship between these two variables, a survey was held with IRCA ISO 9001 Registered Auditors on a worldwide basis. Sample normality was confirmed trough Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test and the hypothesis was tested by using Pearson Correlation coefficient. The findings show that the auditee organizations have positively implemented ISO 9001:2015 requirements on change management and improvement. There is also a strong positive correlation between change management and improvement, suggesting that the organizations that properly manage change by planning, designing, implementing, and controlling change in an effective and efficient way, demonstrate a higher level of performance and results improvement. These conclusions have significant implications for the Quality/Organizational Excellence Management Body of Knowledge, requiring a new way of thinking for 21st-century organizations and reinforced attention to change management processes and the skills needed by the Quality/Organizational Excellence Managers professionals, for their successful use.

Abstract:
Abstract The Joint Inspection Group (JIG) standard for aviation fuel quality management assists in the operational process and maintenance of aviation fuel from its point of origin and through distribution systems to airports. Currently, problems arise as the JIG standard and quality management in aviation fuel are isolated and have independent procedures. Merging the JIG standards with ISO 9001:2015 can override original JIG’s philosophy by connecting all quality assessment, and management parties involved, throughout the supply chain. This integration can harmonize auditing tasks, focusing on risk/opportunity, and continue quality improvement focus. This paper proposes a development of quality management system (QMS) under ISO 9001:2015 for aviation fuelling service in a systematic way. The content and critical success factors of ISO 9001:2015 and JIG standards were studied. The beneficial synergies, similarities, and logical linkages between both standards are identified. This QMS was developed in the largest petroleum company in Thailand and 60 selected experts were surveyed, with a response rate of 88.3%, for their agreement on integrated criteria. Two external quality auditors, who have ISO 9001 and JIG expertise, were interviewed to modify our initial proposed QMS. The final QMS was implemented in the into-plane fuelling services as the first phase of this implementation. Results of framework implementation are discussed in a case study. There are mutual benefits resulting from the integration of JIG and ISO 9001:2015 standards. This QMS provides a unified process for quality management practices, and enhances the effectiveness of risk evaluation as well as the opportunity for continued quality improvement. It facilitates the identification of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and establishes relationships between the roles of JIG standard and the clauses of ISO 9001:2015. The first experience from five airports as the pilot study of proposed QMS implementation minimized conflicts and duplications between JIG and ISO 9001:2015 standards, reduced the number of into-plane fuelling service incidents reported, such as oil spill, machine stoppage, re-inspections, and recall costs.

Abstract:
Noise generated during elevator operation in high-rise residential buildings has a significant impact on the healthy and sustainable building environment of residents. However, there is still no clear standard for the measurement method. There are other international standards other than ISO 16032 on how to measurement elevator noise, but this standard relates to general construction equipment. In particular, it is not suitable as a method to measure elevator noise because it was proposed without considering the situation of modern high-rise residential buildings. In this study, by reflecting the characteristics of the elevator as a noise source and the structural characteristics of modern high-rise residential buildings, improvement measures were proposed for the elevator noise measurement conditions in ISO 16032, which are cited as their own standards in many countries including Korea. As an improvement plan, it contains information on elevator operating conditions, measurement frequency bands, evaluation unit, and measurement locations. As a result of applying these four improvement measures, it was verified that the elevator noise of modern high-rise residential buildings can be appropriately measured, unlike the existing partial elevator noise measurement method in ISO 16032.

Abstract:
Software process standards such as the ISO/IEC 29110 have been implemented by Very Small Entities (VSE) in order to develop quality software and achieve improvements in terms of time, budget, documentation, and other subjects. The generic profile group established in such a standard includes a set of profiles with situational factors of occurrence applicable to some VSEs. However, documented case studies of the ISO/IEC 29110 implementation in Latin America companies are limited, causing uncertainty about the viability of such a standard in VSEs established in the region. Different conditions of each environment—company type, size, country, etc.—can influence the implementation of a software project. Such a fact can affect the possibility of quality improvement by using the standard. In this paper we aim to implement the project management process included in the basic profile of the ISO/IEC 29110 in an automotive Ecuadorian company. We intend to provide VSEs a preliminary judgment in terms of time and cost overruns when developing a first-time implementation of the project management process. Besides, we summarize a set of lessons learned acquired during such an implementation. Finally, the findings of this study will allow VSEs to decide whether is convenient to implement this standard in such an environment.

Abstract:
In the era of global competition, the quality of products owned by companies needs to be evaluated because of an increase in consumer awareness of the quality of products produced by companies. Currently, the ISO 9001:2015 standard has been used by many organizations ranging from small, medium to large all over the world. Several empirical literature studies that have been carried out explain the importance of quality management standards in optimizing continuous improvement of the company's operational performance, where the aim is to meet the needs and expectations of customers in the market. Although the ISO 9001: 2015 standard is useful for companies, there is no agreement between practitioners and scholars whether the ISO 9001: 2015 standard makes it possible to improve the company's operational performance. Therefore, this research is aimed at reviewing and testing a hypothesis, namely the relationship between ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and different perspectives on company operational performance in order to find out the role of ISO 9001:2015 standards in increasing a company's operational performance. This research was conducted in order to be able to identify and observe empirical literature studies that are relevant to the present. The results of the empirical studies that have been conducted found that ISO 9001:2015 has a significant influence on internal business processes, has a positive correlation with indicators of innovation and learning at a significant level and ISO 9001:2015 standards are recommended so that they can be used in improving the company's operational performance.

Abstract:
Energy audits are used world-wide for developing energy efficiency projects. Industrial consumers have complex energy supply, generation and distribution networks and a variety of energy use installations. Romanian industrial companies became more interested in the last years in implementing Energy Management Systems in accordance with ISO 50001 standard. This paper presents a comparison of using the current way of developing energy audits and the concepts provided by the ISO group of standards, by quantifying the environmental impact reduction generated by each methodology. Authors pointed out that current legislation does not fully match the rigors of the ISO 50001 group of standards when evaluating the Energy Baseline (EB), the Energy Performance Indicators (EPI) or the Energy Performance Improvement Actions (EPIA), thus leading to a lower global energy efficiency improvement in the hypothesis of implementing all the recommended EPIAs [1]. Identifying and developing energy efficiency measures following the recommendations of the energy management and energy savings group of standards may be more consistent and less risky for the industrial company, which in turn can lead to an overall improvement of the Carbon Footprint [2].

Abstract:
ISO 21001:2018 is an international standard for the management system of educational organizations that formal education organizations can apply to achieve their goals and functions to provide quality educational services. Currently, there are study programs with C accreditation and 2 study programs accredited B at Faculty of X under The University of Y. Hence, quality assurance at Faculty X still needs to be improved to achieve the highest accreditation. It is hoped that an education management system that refers to the ISO 21001:2018 standard can assist organizations in meeting these goals and targets. Faculty X has not implemented the ISO 21001:2018 quality assurance system but has implemented a quality assurance system through an internal academic quality audit process known as AIMA. This study aims to determine the GAP between the current higher education quality assurance system and the educational organization management system ISO 21001:2018 and determine the level of readiness obtained by Faculty X to meet the requirements of ISO 21001:2018. The results show that 59% of the ISO 21001:2018 clauses have been completed in the higher education quality assurance standard based on AIMA (Academic Quality Internal Audit Instrument), and 41% of the requirements still do not meet the AIMA standard. The percentage of readiness obtained by Faculty X in implementing the management system of educational organizations ISO 21001:2018 is 73%, which means that Faculty X still has to improve the quality system in preparation for ISO 2100:2018 quality assurance. Improvements in meeting the ISO 21001:2018 educational organization management system are plans for consistent improvement, monitoring, and evaluation.

This article examines international studies on the standardization of quality management systems in higher education, namely: a comparison of The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards and the provisions of the Standards and Recommendations for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (The Standards) and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG). The standards ISO 9001, ISO 9001: 2000, ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 21001 have been analyzed. The article analyzes the study of the interaction of ISO standards and the provisions of ESG investigated that presented in the works of S.Ortega, N.Señal, L.Velón Sixto "Experiments using iso 9001 to meet ESG in three spanish agencies"; A.Jambor, M.Dzubakova, J.Habanbk «Integration of ESG 2015 and ISO 9001: 2015 standards in higher education organization (case study)»; F.Camilleri «Standardizing Management Systems for Educational Organizations: Implications for European Higher Education». The study concludes that ISO 9001 standards for quality management systems enable institutions to create a quality assurance system and improve basic quality assurance processes. The ISO 9001 quality management system standard is a good tool for organizations to improve their internal quality assurance system and to be aware of their processes. Scientists say ISO 9001 provides ESG standards with an adequate system to support effective quality improvement. It is positive that the international ISO standard and ESG provisions for the establishment of a quality assurance system in higher education are in the mix. The ISO 21001 series "Educational Organizations –Management Systems for Educational Organizations" provides a methodological component and a typical industry template from the beginning of monitoring to the release of results, including preparatory work on assessment planning, questionnaire development, questionnaires, results processing, problem determination and options, further monitoring of performance. In higher education, ISO 21001 may not be seen as a competitor or replacement for ESG, but as an additional tool that can help educational organizations demonstrate their commitment to effective educational management practices.

Abstract:
PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to investigate the influence of ISO 9001 quality improvement requirements in ISO 9001:2008, i.e. the corrective and preventive actions and internal audit, on customer satisfaction.Design/methodology/approachFor the purposes of the study, data were collected via a survey on 200 aerospace and transportation companies that belong to a Canadian multinational company supply chain. The relationships between the corrective and preventive actions and internal auditing, on the one hand, and customer satisfaction, on the other, were examined via the structural equation modeling technique.FindingsThe major contribution of this study is that it has identified internal audit as the most influential continual improvement ISO 9001 requirement prior to the ISO 9001 transition phase, along with the corrective actions, while the preventive actions in the present formulation do not significantly influence customer satisfaction.Research limitations/implicationsThis study is based on a cross-sectional survey conducted on the supply chain level in the aerospace and transportation sector; hence, a longitudinal study is possible as a future research avenue. The generalizability of this study’s findings is limited to similar supply chains around a multinational company consisted of companies that have at least ISO 9001 standard, but also fulfill other industry-specific requirements. Also, findings are based mainly on quality managers’ attitudes, so future studies are recommended to examine other positions’ views, too.Practical implicationsThis research contributes to the literature and bridges the gap between theory and practice. It could be of value to both the certification bodies and the organizations that are interested in improving customer satisfaction by implementing ISO 9001 in the multinational supply chains context such as the aerospace and transportation sector.Originality/valueWhile the influence of the ISO 9001 standard on customer satisfaction has been the subject of prior research, this is the first time that the simultaneous effect of the corrective and preventive actions and internal auditing on customer satisfaction has been studied. The validity of the removal of preventive actions from ISO 9001:2015 has also been analyzed.

Abstract:
During the last decade, there is an increasing need for quality improvement of medical laboratories via the use of quality related standards. Recently regulatory bodies suggest and sometimes enforce the application of ISO 15189, which is designed especially for medical laboratories. Despite the standard does oblige the application of Laboratory Information Systems (LISs), it is evident that without a LIS it is difficult for laboratories to operate efficiently. Modern cytopathology laboratories form complex systems composed of a multidisciplinary human team coupled with medical modalities and capabilities. Hopefully, such laboratories have well standardized and defined workflow. The adoption of the standard, creates numerous management requirements, introduces new functions and associated overhead. In this paper, we present design and implementation issues of an enhanced LIS to support ISO 15189 in a cytopathology laboratory. The LIS designed around ISO 15189 management requirements can improve, enhance and facilitate the standard application and adoption.

This paper presents the analysis of the advantages of applying ISO 14001 system in an environmental protection management system. The environmental protection management system which is not licensed, i.e., compatible with the principles and standard pre-conditions considerably increases the plausibility for ecological risk. There are some issues that remain to be solved in the areas which are not expressed by financial values only but also have a non-financial character with the aim of expanding markets, company image improvement and improvement of the environmental performance indicators. By improving a company?s environmental management system efficiency we expect to achieve the minimization and elimination of damaging influences on the environment which are the consequence of company?s activities. A case study in the Oil Refinery Belgrade (RNB) analyses the implementation of the standard ISO 14001:2004 into its environment protection management system, particularly emphasizing the company?s own way of evaluating the environment aspects with the aim of establishing results of ecological performances indicators improvement. The average values of the first ecological indicator of the plant, the total amount of the waste waters in m3 per a ton of product, clearly show the downturn trend, which is confirmed by the proportional reduction of the second ecological plant indicator, that is by the flocculants consumption (Al2(SO4)3, Na2CO3) in kg per m3 of the waste water of the Oil Refinery of Belgrade for the given period 2008-2010. Case study RNB confirms the improvement of environmental performances using the ISO 14001 standard.

Abstract:
Objectives: This study aims to evaluate the ISO 21001:2018 Educational Organizations Management System Standard through the lens of organizational communication and employee motivation. Specifically, it investigates how the standard influences communication structures within educational institutions and contributes to their overall success. Theoretical Framework: Grounded in the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM), the research explores the integration of communication and motivation as core components of institutional quality. While ISO 21001:2018 is based on TQM—which seeks continuous improvement across all organizational processes—this study critiques the extent to which communication and motivation are recognized within the standard. Method: A quantitative research design was employed. Data was collected through a structured survey conducted with employees of XXX University, which has implemented the ISO 21001:2018 standard. The survey aimed to capture employees’ perceptions of the standard's influence on internal communication and motivation. Results and Discussion: Findings indicate that ISO 21001:2018 contributes to establishing a more systematic and process-oriented educational management system. However, its indirect influence on communication and lack of explicit emphasis on motivation present potential limitations. Although the standard enhances organizational structure, it overlooks key human-centered variables such as communication flow and staff motivation, which are critical to institutional success. Research Implications: The study highlights the need to reconsider how management system standards like ISO 21001:2018 can more holistically integrate soft factors, including communication and motivation, into quality frameworks. Institutions may benefit from adopting complementary strategies or internal guidelines that emphasize these dimensions. Originality/Value: This research offers a novel perspective by bridging the gap between quality management standards and organizational communication theory in educational settings. It contributes to the limited body of literature assessing ISO 21001:2018’s effectiveness beyond operational efficiency—focusing instead on the human dynamics that drive educational quality.

Abstract:
The design, development and deployment, alongside with preventive maintenance of equipment helps with controlling safety issues in water bottling processes. However, these aspects are not-enough to prevent accidents; they must be closely related to the implementation of quality, occupational health and safety, and food security standards. The approach presented in this paper was to show a summary of the assessment of the risks of injury and professional illness for all within the organization according to the ISO 45001:2018 standard. Also, a statistical analysis was performed to evaluate the occurrence of defects in different equipment in the technological process. The paper highlights the safety parameters of the spring water “Roua Apusenilor” namely the: organoleptic, physic-chemical and microbiological ones, according to the European legislation. A hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) generic model was developed for this process. In this case study, the analysis and assessment of hazards that may occur during processing was implemented for still water bottling stages, as was an identification of the critical control points, which include filtration and ozone water treatment. The HACCP principles, included in the ISO 22000:2018 standard, were applied in order to improve the food safety and security, to reduce the risks resulting from the consumption of “Roua Apusenilor” spring water and, also, for increasing customer confidence. The obtained results significantly relied upon the situation found in the industrial company used as a benchmark for the research. The analysis revealed that, considered safety standards OHSAS (ISO 45001) and HACCP (ISO 22000) share the same goal of safety production for safe food products.

Abstract:
Ensuring quality is of utmost importance for the shipbuilding sector, as it involves addressing both the quality of processes and the final products to achieve efficient and cost-effective manufacturing. It has become a standard practice for shipyards to adopt certifiable management systems. ISO 9001:2015 sets out the necessary criteria for a Quality Plan, which is influenced by the company's overall quality policy and contractual obligations. In this context, ISO 10005:2018 offers guidance that can be utilized within the framework of quality plans to meet the specific requirements of a project. Several quality plans for Indonesian shipyards, only adopting ISO 9001 and ISO 10005:2018, have yet to be widely implemented. Thus, this paper adopts ISO 10005:2018 to identify the quality plan of three selected shipyards in Indonesia. The gap analysis technique is used to compare the current state of the quality plan with the desired conditions outlined in the ISO 10005:2018 standard. The identified gaps will determine the areas that require immediate attention and improvement in order to meet the requirements of ISO 10005:2018. The primary objective of this study is to facilitate the creation of a quality plan that adheres to the ISO 9001 and 10005 standards. Based on the comparison results of quality plans according to ISO 10005:2018 in shipyards A, B, and C, the recommendation is to integrate distinct clauses (6.4, 6.7.1, 6.7.3, 6.10, 6.13, and 6.15) to improve the quality plans across these specific shipyards.

Abstract In the current global context, companies need a defined minimum level of information security to recognize and deal with related threats and risks. Due to market, customer or legal requirements, specifications and requirements for information security are implemented uniformly according to standards such as the information security management standard ISO/IEC 27001 or industry-specific standards such as Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange - TISAX, ISO IEC 27019 Energy Utility Information Security Standard. The conformity to these standard requirements within the established management system is checked during periodically required audits. However, there are various reasons for which, even after many years of audits in companies, there are still insufficient process implementations for information security requirements. The aim of the paper is to analyze the status of conformity and thus also the process maturity in selected samples of companies that have already had information security management systems (ISMS) implemented for several years. In detail, the reasons for deviations from the minimum requirements with associated risks for the security of information in companies were analyzed, which allow conclusions to be drawn about possible process improvements. The paper also analyzes why, despite established measures and existing expertise, only a limited level of process maturity is achieved on average. Other possible approaches to the implementation procedure for dealing with non-conformities in information security are also considered. The results of this research show that there is a need for an adjusted continuous improvement process, which makes risks resulting from insufficient process maturity more visible. Proposals for such improvements are listed.

In Ecuador, quality is a value-adding component in education, the same one which is legally constituted in the corpus of current educational regulations. To this end, the state has promulgated a set of policies that guide, instruct, and control the achievement of quality goals in the different educational services. This research work aims to identify the scope and benefits of the ISO 21001: 2018 standard in the Quality Management System of private educational institutions in Ecuador. The methodological route is designed from a qualitative, non-experimental level, complemented by analyzing authors' proposals and specialized documents recognized by the scientific community. In the theoretical order, this research work contributes significantly to developing other investigations and as a source for further academic works related to quality management and standardization in educational systems. The results show that the Ecuadorian educational system has specific standards for educational management, professional performance, learning, and infrastructure, like those within the ISO 21001: 2018 standard. However, from the dynamism of continuous improvement, these standards are not fully articulated as a management system, leaving the possibility of adopting and implementing the ISO 21001:2018 technical standard as the quality management model for private law educational institutions.

Abstract:
Abstract: The effective implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS) is essential for organizations striving for excellence and competitiveness, as it significantly enhances overall performance and, in turn, the business's performance. The effectiveness of QMS is commonly assessed using methods such as management reviews, customer feedback analysis and audits. Audits that are aligned with ISO standards play a critical role in evaluating management processes, measuring QMS performance and identifying opportunities for improvement. This study focuses on the importance of QMS audits in improving organizational performance within the framework of the ISO 9001 standard. Research indicates that many organizations conduct internal audits using traditional or qualitative methods which are commonly used and, they often fall short in addressing all the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard. Additionally, these methods heavily depend on the skill and expertise of the auditor, making them less reliable in evaluating QMS performance comprehensively across different levels of an organization. This study examines how audit findings are utilized to guide strategic decision-making and encourage a culture of continuous quality improvement. To overcome the limitations of qualitative methods, a quantitative approach was adopted by developing a customized, comprehensive web-based audit checklist. This checklist encompasses all aspects of the QMS standard, along with contractual, statutory, and organizational requirements. The task-based, detailed checklist helps identify gaps in compliance with objective evidence, enabling management to make well-informed decisions. The study analysed data from 38 projects and 30 functional processes at the head office using web-based statistical tools to assess QMS performance. The results of the study highlight the importance of adopting robust and systematic audit practices. Such practices maximize the potential of QMS, contribute to enhanced organizational performance, and help organizations maintain their competitiveness in a dynamic business environment

Abstract:
With the increasing presence of electronics and autonomous systems in modern automobiles, cybersecurity has become a critical concern. Automotive manufacturers and other stakeholders are actively seeking ways to ensure reliable protection against cyber attacks. One approach involves the utilization of ISO 21434, a standard designed to enhance cybersecurity in the automotive industry. This research article investigates the ISO 21434 standard and its application in the field of automotive production, specifically in software development under the A-SPICE standard. The publication describes the methods and concepts used to enhance cybersecurity in the automotive industry and establishes the role of ISO 21434 within the A-SPICE model. The study's findings are valuable for companies and professionals involved in the development and implementation of cybersecurity measures in the automotive sector. Implementing the ISO 21434 standard can mitigate the risk of cyber attacks and improve the quality and reliability of automobiles, thus making the automotive industry safer and more trustworthy for consumers. The article provides an overview of key cybersecurity standards in the automotive industry. ISO 26262 sets out processes and requirements for functional safety in automotive systems, including cybersecurity considerations. SAE J3061 focuses on cybersecurity management in electronic systems of vehicles and is widely used in the industry. ISO/SAE 21434, introduced in 2020, replaces the previous ISO 26262 standard and specifies cybersecurity requirements in the automotive industry. These standards are closely related as they aim to ensure the safety and security of automotive products. Furthermore, the Automotive SPICE (Software Process Improvement and Capability Determination) framework is widely employed for evaluating and enhancing software development processes in the automotive sector. A-SPICE, a specific variant of Automotive SPICE, provides a framework for improving software development processes in automotive organizations. ISO 21434 guides cybersecurity activities within the A-SPICE framework, emphasizing the importance of a systematic and standardized approach to cybersecurity. To effectively implement cybersecurity in automotive products developed under A-SPICE, compliance with the ISO 21434 standard is crucial. However, mere adherence to the standard may be insufficient for achieving a high level of cybersecurity. Additional tools such as risk analysis methodologies and cybersecurity management can be employed to ensure robust cybersecurity measures. Risk analysis results can help identify vulnerabilities in the security system, enabling the development of effective mitigation measures. Cybersecurity management ensures compliance with the standard throughout the product development lifecycle. ISO 21434 can be applied at various stages of the V-model software development process, including requirements definition, design, and testing. During requirements definition, cybersecurity requirements are identified and incorporated into the system or software specifications. In the design phase, architectures are developed considering the cybersecurity requirements outlined in the standard. The testing phase addresses the fulfillment of cybersecurity requirements and evaluates the effectiveness of cybersecurity measures. In conclusion, the inclusion of ISO 21434 criteria in the development process of automotive software significantly impacts the quality and safety of products. The research demonstrates that applying ISO 21434 criteria allows for a systematic and structured approach to software development, ensuring the reliability, safety, and compliance of software products with regulatory requirements in the automotive industry. The article presents an analysis of standards, methods, and approaches used in the automotive industry and highlights the influence of ISO 21434 on the A-SPICE framework, defining its position within the model. Ultimately, this publication contributes to the advancement of knowledge in automotive cybersecurity.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to offer a new approach to evaluate the index of ISO 9001 standard, as so far countries are listed for the ISO 9001 standard based only on the number of ISO 9001 certificates issued for each country, and this perception does not correspond to reality, because some countries that are listed per alphabetic order on top, doesn’t enjoy the property of having a better ranking when it comes to rank countries per number of ISO 9001 certificates issues, or when it comes to rank countries about their weight on the issue. On the other side, listing countries simply by the number of ISO 9001 certificates issued, doesn’t reflect the real weight of countries on the issue, because this rank should be adjusted with the number of businesses of countries taken into consideration, better understanding of ranking models used. A new approach to ranking countries about this issue is needed, reflecting the issue of taking into consideration the number of ISO 9001 certificates issued in a country per number of businesses in that country, as a better way of evaluating the index of ISO 9001 standard. The methodology/method used to conduct this study were (1) the data collection on the number of ISO 9001 certificates issued per country, (2) the data collection on the number of businesses in each country, (3) the division of the number of ISO 9001 certificates issued with the number of businesses, (4) construction of a new ranking list of countries based on the ISO 9001 standard index, (5) inversing the list to give the right value/rank of countries, and graphics draw of the new approach for better visualization and understanding the issue. The main conclusion of this study is that a new approach is needed to evaluate the index of ISO 9001 standard as a more appropriate indicator for listing/ranking countries and this serves all those interested in the academic field, public administration, and the reports and studies of the national and international level of organizations, to create a better perception of doing business in general and on the aspects of quality management in particular, especially when it comes to making the most appropriate comparisons between countries on these issues, weighting them numerically and graphically, as well as helps on understanding, and for a better approaching of socio and economic issues related to ISO standards and continuous improvement of people and organizations.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the analysis of the definition of the quality management system (QMS) according to various sources, including the national quality standard DSTU ISO 9001:2015, the views of domestic and foreign scientists. Approaches to the definition of QMS are considered in the context of its role as a strategic decision of the organization to improve overall effectiveness and sustainable development. The authors of the article take into account the definition of Tuomi V., who sees QMS as a process management system with a focus on customer satisfaction while minimizing the cost to the organization, and also express the points of view of A. Oleshka. and Momota I.O. As a result of combining the methodological approach of Tuomi V. and the formal approach to the definition of QMS, the article proposes a new definition: QMS is a set of procedures, methods, instructions and organizational structure necessary for managing processes in order to achieve the maximum result at the minimum costs of the organization. Given the variety of approaches to understanding QMS, this new definition can become a useful tool for practical application and further research of quality management systems in various fields of activity. In addition, the article examines the development of the concept of quality and the quality management system (QMS) in international business processes. The transition period from the 80s to the 90s of the last century, when the concept of «quality» expanded its application from production processes to the sphere of services, was analyzed. The implementation of QMS in the US public sphere and the process of harmonization of national quality standards in Europe based on ISO 9000 standards are also investigated. The article also describes in detail the role of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in the development of international standards and the promotion of international trade. The main functions of ISO are emphasized, as well as the chronological development of ISO 9000 standards, in particular the ISO 9001:2015 version. The article also notes the research of domestic and foreign scientists who studied the implementation of international quality standards in practice at various levels, including local authorities. Auxiliary references to the works of Pakhomova T. and Lakhizha M.I., Tuomi V., who were engaged in the analysis and research of quality management systems, are indicated. The international standard ISO 9001, which defines the requirements for the quality management system, was considered. The standard provides for the ability of the organization to satisfy the needs of consumers on an ongoing basis through the effective application of the quality management system. It is general and is used in all organizations, regardless of their type, size and type of products or services. The ISO 9001 standard is based on the PDCA cycle (planning, action, verification, implementation). It provides guidance on planning, implementation, quality assessment, and continuous improvement of a product or service. The standard implementation process includes resource allocation, customer communication, internal quality audit, process monitoring and corrective actions. The author emphasizes that the implementation of the PDCA cycle in the activities of public authorities will help to improve the quality of providing public services to citizens. Completing tasks according to such a mechanism will create a high-quality precedent that can be relied upon for the implementation of subsequent projects. The introduction of quality standards will also provide a convenient basis for public managers in solving operational tasks and ensuring constructive communication with citizens. It is noted that ignoring the wishes of customers can negatively affect the profitability of the organization. The possibility of applying the methodology for assessing the quality of public services on the basis of citizens' feedback for public bodies in Ukraine is being investigated. There are two main reasons for the use of this methodology by public managers: assessment of the actual state of public service provision and prioritization of efficiency improvement processes in crisis areas of citizen service. Examples of the implementation of this methodology in other countries and research results showing the significant impact of ISO 9001 quality standards on the quality of public services are presented. It is noted that this methodology can help public managers understand the level of effectiveness of interaction between public authorities and citizens and contribute to the implementation of quality standards in areas that need it, especially in wartime.

Abstract:
The number of studies for the future improvement of the standard ISO 9001, which is the most used standard in many areas, is limited. Within this research scope, the number of ISO 9001 certificates registered between 1993 and 2019 in some G20 countries was evaluated, and the number of certificates for 2020-2026 was estimated using the Eviews 11 program. Time series regression and exponential smoothing methods are used in estimation calculation. According to the number of certificates estimated for 2026, country rankings were determined as India (43,947), Brazil (22,744), Canada (11,814), USA (37,235), Mexico (9,977), Argentina (8,433), Russian Federation (1,540), Australia (5,072), South Africa (4,626) and Saudi Arabia (2,785). Changes are expected in Canada, the Russian Federation, Australia and Mexico in 2026 when the 2019 certificate number of countries’ ranking is considered. A decrease in Australia and the Russian Federation’s certificate number was foreseen for 2026. It is thought that the research will contribute to the interpretation of ISO 9001 performance of nine countries and to how the future trend will be shaped.

Abstract:
This research explores the effectiveness of Quality Management Systems (QMSs) certified under the ISO 9001 standard by applying Hotelling’s multivariate statistical test T2. This research focuses on organizations in central Mexico, evaluating whether the adoption of the ISO 9001 standard generates the promised benefits (by the International Standardization Organization itself), such as process improvement, increased customer satisfaction, higher sales, and increased revenues. Using a comprehensive framework grounded in ISO 10014 and incorporating statistical tools, such as descriptive analysis, regression, simulation, and Hotelling’s T2 test, this study examined performance differences across sectors and pinpointed the critical factors impacting QMS outcomes. The results demonstrated notable advantages, including average improvements exceeding 20% in anticipated benefits. Furthermore, the analysis underscored the importance of QMS maturity, process enhancement, and customer satisfaction as pivotal drivers of QMS success. Sector-specific patterns also emerged, revealing that public organizations prioritize process efficiency and customer satisfaction, whereas private entities emphasize sales and revenue growth. By employing multivariate techniques, this research offers valuable insights into the interconnected factors affecting QMS effectiveness and provides actionable recommendations for organizations to enhance their QMS performance.

Abstract:
The ISO 6267 standard defines a damping measuring method in terms of the half-time of the vibration of clamped alpine skis that is mainly related to the first vibration mode only. By means of the experimental test done in laboratory, it is shown that this method is not able to completely characterize the damping of the skis that depends on the vibration mode considered. For example in the case a ski sample, damping ratio varies from 0.45%±0.05% of the first mode to 2.1%±0.1% of the fourth one. The experimental test done on ski tracks by means of piezo-accelerometers placed on the skis running at speed of 12.5 m/s showed that the skis vibrate according to a combination of at least the first 4 vibration modes and that the snow better excites frequencies greater than the first one. As the excitation frequencies on the skis during the descent are much higher than the first natural frequency of the ski, it appears not correct to hypothesize that only the damping coefficient relative to the first natural frequency is representative of the ski vibrations. To improve the UNI ISO 6267 standard, a new method based on the Fourier Transform filtering to separate the time history into the vibration components is proposed for the characterization of the ski damping that is variable with its natural modes.

In order to improve working conditions in conformity with the ISO 45001 standard, organizations need to address a wide range of issues that are essential for compliance with system requirements. One of them is to limit technical measures to those that are necessary for task completion and have been designed to mitigate threats and strains. To avert potential hazards, it is imperative to deploy improvement measures that are adequate for the nature of non-conformities and will either eliminate or reduce the underlying causes of irregularities. By employing solutions in keeping with the ISO 45001 standard, organizations can streamline the selection and rollout of their solutions to ensure effective systemic management across a range of areas from planning to implementation support, operations, outcome assessments to the identification of follow-up improvements. The measures will limit threat incidence and ultimately help improve performance.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to develop a conceptual auditing framework (CAF), which can help the organizations that experience difficulties with current ISO 9001 auditing to achieve their desired benefits with regard to the auditing of conformance, performance, risk management and improvement collectively. Design/methodology/approach A literature review was undertaken to identify the audit limitations and the program strategies that were reported in literature to overcome these limitations. The relevant audit standard (ISO 9001:2015) and guidelines (ISO 19011:2011 and ISO 19011:2018) have also been reviewed to determine the gap in relation to this purpose. Findings Most of the previous suggestions to overcome the difficulties of the current ISO 9001 auditing were to focus on processes in addition to ISO 9001 clauses and to apply the two principles of “Process Approach” and “Improvement” of ISO 9001, by having the manner of integration of their risk-based thinking concept and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) approaches, respectively, within audit. However, this integration also has limitations such as the desire for implementing risk management program and the necessity for applying LSS approach. Therefore, a CAF was developed to enhance the ISO 9001 quality audit. It suggests the integration of 12 management tools that are connected to the seven principles of ISO 9001:2015 severally and collectively. The selected tools ought to be linked to the audit limitations that have been previously reported in the literature, and connected with the complaints of the organizations that experience difficulties with current ISO 9001 auditing. Auditing of conformance/performance, risk management and improvement in combination can be assured by upgrading, testing and validating this CAF. Originality/value Utilizing the ISO 9001 quality audit in a way that helps organizations to audit performance, risk management and improvement in combination by changing the auditing approach from ISO 9001 elements to ISO 9001 principles and by learning from the experience of business excellence models implementers in development of the Performance measurement frameworks and in converting the concepts and principles into practice.
