Abstract:
Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) mempunyai banyak kelebihan, yaitu kecepatan pengumpanan logam pengisi dapat diatur terlepas dari besarnya arus listrik sehingga penetrasi ke dalam logam induk dapat di atur. Jenis kampuh las merupakan salah satu penyebab yang mempengaruhi kekuatan dari sambungan las. Kampuh las merupakan bagian dari logam induk yang nantinya akan diisi oleh deposit las atau logam las (weld metal). Dilakukan 2 pengujian yaitu Impact dan hardness, nilai impak paling tinggi pada kampuh v sebesar 3,73 J/mm², kampuh double tirus sebesar 2,95 J/mm², dan kampuh tirus sebesar 1,78 J/mm²

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi aliran gas pelindung dan bentuk kampuh terhadap kekerasan dan struktur mikro baja ASTM A36.
