Abstract A virus was isolated from Lavandula angustifolia Mill. plants exhibiting yellow mottling and distortion of leaves. After mechanical inoculation it induced in the major part of used test plants symptoms characteristic for Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV). Its standard properties regarding the stability in crude plant sap were as follows: longevity in vitro 1-2 days, thermal inactivation point 55-60°C, dilution end point log10minus 3 - 4. Показано, що рослини лаванди третього року вирощування характеризувалися в умовах Південного Степу України достатньо високою морозостійкістю – 82,7-98,1 %. Установлено, що найвища врожайність лаванди у третій рік вирощування сформувалася у варіанті із обробкою рослин біостимулятором Стимпо: у сорту Степова – 6,6 т/га, у сорту Синева –7,6 т/га , у сорту Вдала – 6,0 т/га. The varieties of L. angustifolia created are differ by terms of technical maturation: early - Moldoveanca 4, Favoare); (intermediates - Vis Magic 10, Aroma Unica); (late-Alba 7 and Svetlana). They are distinctive by a string of quantitative and qualitative characters (plant size, bush shape, inflo-rescence length, corolla color, floral spike length, floral stem length, number of floral stems, etc.). The productivity of these clone varieties varies depending on the annual cultivation conditions from 5.2 t/ha to 10.4 t/ha raw material production and 75-179 kg/ha essential oil production.
