Traditional analytical approaches of HPLC found to be insufficient for solving upcoming challenges in species specificity and sensitivity analysis. Modern analytical hybrid techniques which are referred as hyphenations have been introduced from the traditional techniques to overcome the challenges in the analysis of components. Hyphenated approaches combine separation and detection procedures through the use of chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques. The various hyphenations of that are developed until now are LC-MS, LC-NMR, LC-IR, LC-DAD and it also includes multi hyphenations like LC-M

Phytoestrogens belong to a group of polyphenolic plant metabolites which induce biological responses, based on their structural similarity to 17β-estradiol. In order to investigate the relationship between the levels of these biologically active compounds and beneficial health effects, it is neccesary to quantify accurately their levels in foods and biological fluids. In this study, HPLC-MS/MS method for the determination of isoflavones genistein, daidzein, and estrogenic metabolite-equol in bovine plasma and milk was optimised and validated. Mycotoxins are secondary metabolites produced by fungi, known for their chemical and thermal stability, which makes them resistant to common food and feed processing methods. These toxins can contaminate food and feed, and cause a range of toxic effects upon ingestion, including mutagenic, teratogenic, carcinogenic, immunotoxic, neurotoxic, hepatotoxic, and dermatotoxic effects. In recent years, the application of liquid chromatography combined with tandem mass spectrometry has grown significantly for mycotoxin analysis, owing to its remarkable sensitivity and specificity. Metabolomics aims at the detection and quantitation of metabolites within a biological system. As the most direct representation of phenotypic changes, metabolomics is an important component in system biology research. Recent development on high-resolution, high-accuracy mass spectrometers enables the simultaneous study of hundreds or even thousands of metabolites in one experiment. Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) is a commonly used instrument for metabolomic studies due to its high sensitivity and broad coverage of metabolome. Abstract Multiphase pipelines manufactured from carbon steel are susceptible to several forms of corrosion, including top-of-line (TOL) corrosion. In wet gas pipelines, produced water can condense at the top of the pipeline when the temperature and pressure along the length of the pipeline decreases. If this happens, TOL corrosion will occur, which can be severe as the pH of the condensed water will be very low (< 5). However, it is possible to mitigate TOL corrosion with the application of corrosion inhibitors. Using corrosion inhibitors to control TOL corrosion in multiphase systems p

Abstract:
Innate immune responses in animals and plants involve receptors that recognize microbe-associated molecules. In plants, one set of this defense system is characterized by large families of TIR–nucleotide binding site–leucine-rich repeat (TIR-NBS-LRR) resistance genes. The direct interaction between plant proteins harboring the TIR domain with proteins that transmit and facilitate a signaling pathway has yet to be shown. The Arabidopsis genome encodes TIR-domain containing genes that lack NBS and LRR whose functions are unknown. Here we investigated the functional role of such protein, TLW1 (TI
