Abstract:
This study examined the structure and characteristics of Yoon Se-pyeong's two legends, ‘Neungrado and Juamsan’ and ‘Hulryeongdosa,’ while examining the patterns of children's literary activities during the period of North Korea. Yoon Se-pyeong contributed to the expansion of the acceptance of children's literature by leading the “Literature Newspaper” from the period when the controversy over North Korean children's literature heated up. Neungrado and Juamsan, published above Yoon Se-pyeong's participation in children's literature, conveys the interest of legends according to historical record

Abstract:
The legend of the Wandering Jew became very popular, especially from the 17th century Western Europe. The story of punishment by eternal life until the next coming of Jesus Christ has parallels with the Buddhist legend of Pindola Bharadvaja, a disciple of Shakyamuni Buddha who was also punished by eternal life until the coming of the Future Buddha, Maitreya. The similarities were dealt with the Japanese polymath, Minakata Kumagusu (1899) and Walter Edwards (1902) in the turn of the 20th century, claiming that the story of the Wandering Jew was influenced by the Asian legends of Pindola. The traditional culture of the Korean people is not considerably studied in Ukrainian historiography, compared to Chinese or Japanese mythologies. While Korean traditional culture has much in common with the nations of the East Asia region, it also has many unique socio-cultural phenomena that are very perspective for research. The mythology of the Korean people has come down to our time thanks to traditional Korean shamanism, which was greatly influenced by Buddhism and Taoism. This is a historiographical study of the ‘theory of Kim Il-sŏng the impostor’ – a concept which existed in South Korean academic community in the second half of the 20th century. It claimed that the man who at the time ruled North Korea was not the same person as the Manchurian guerrilla of the 1930s, but rather a fraudster who stole his name. This article shows the roots of this urban legend: it mostly originated from the fact that, indeed, had several other people used the alias ‘Kim Il-sŏng’ as well. Therefore, this study investigates around 40 stone pagodas with their own legends, categorises those legends, and examin

Abstract: The study reveals the political and ideological journey of Beom-do Hong, a Korean independence fighter and general as reflected in the historical novel of Soviet Korean writer Kim Se-il. Due to to the lack of historical records on Beom-do Hong, stories on his deeds before and after the Japan's annexation of Korea remained at the level of legends. In Korean society, his figure is seen within opposing positions and discourses; to some he is a national hero; to others a communist collaborator. In Korea, literary studies on locality address either the “regionality of literature” or the “literariness of the region.” These studies reveal the limitations of reducing the region to literature or subordinating literature to its region. To avoid reducing or subordinating the two different layers of the worlds of “locality” and “literature” into a single world, it is essential to reveal and clarify the characteristics of “locality captured by literature”, by targeting the “literature that contains the locality” of a certain region. This requires clarifying the concept of locality and underst

Hypothetically, the success of a team, the acquisition of a major player or the beginning of a sponsorship would have a positive effect on the corporation reflected in an increase in the firm’s daily share price returns.
