Furthermore, copper and nickel compounds were assumed to preferentially precipitate in the gouged area and to enhance the corrosion process. The present paper challenges some of the accepted assumptions and presents a new understanding for this corrosion phenomenon. It is argued that the magnetite film loses its protective nature as a result of localized high-heat input caused by flame impingement.

The spectra obtained by FTIR-ATR spectroscopy of authentic and adulterated samples were evaluated by PCA chemometric methods. PCA method was used to distinguish the authentic-adulterated samples, select the spectral region and data reduction. We study a model of the impact of climate risk on credit supply and test its predictions using data on all wildfires and corporate loans in Spain. Our findings reveal a significant decrease in credit following climate-driven events.
